The comic was created by forum-goer and all-around crazy individual, MarioMK1. What was just going to be a small comic for the forum became his own little way to practice, and it finally ended in April. What an...insane series of comics.

As for me and my comics? Well, I have nothing set in stone at the moment. The revamp has so many little details I need to work around, and the character designs are nowhere near done. Hair is a problem.

Hair is a BIG problem.

Expect a new site for this stuff, as well. Soon enough.

But until then, I must return to my studies!

Yes, this is so small that it may be insignificant for broadcast upon even this site, a site that has had fewer updates than the news story saying "Mice Like Cheese."

I am in the process of thinking up ideas for the beginning layouts for a tentative design change for the site. When I say it like that, you KNOW I won't have this up for quite a while. Because of this and the revamping project I'm having with the comic, it could be quite a few more weeks before another update on the actual comic archive.

Be that as it may, I'm planning on making small comics and art updates for the heck of it on my DeviantART account. This is mostly because I don't have a place for them on this site...yet.

So, this small newspost...what does this mean? Two things: (1) New design for the site will come with the new comic and (2) side comics will exist on this site. Whether that means I'll actually do "mini comics" that will update on some sort of schedule like the mini comics on other sites or actual comics that update on the side while the actual story is progressing remains to be seen.

The new comic, by the way, will be separate from the old comics shown now. We'll still have the old comics, but the main archive will basically reboot for the new comic. We'll also have a new archive for the side comics, too.

No word on what the heck I'm going to do with the supposed side-comics. All I do know is, if it does what I hope, then I won't lose my desire to do these comics anymore.

The Degrees and Styles of Humanity by Falcon6

So, I'm just going to ignore the great, big elephant in the room that is "Why in the heck is your update schedule so...non-existent?!" and just focus on other issues. 'K? 'K.

I recently started my final year of community college. I've decided that much right now. Whether this means my schooling days have finally reached its climax or I end up going up for higher education remains to be determined. I honestly have no clue as to either. If I choose the former, I have to find a job that will take just that and I have no clue if I'm even ready to take said job yet. If I choose the latter, that means the hasty decision of where on Earth should I go to further said education. Heck, I have no clue if Web Design is even a viable choice for a further step. I've heard some people saying I would have to major in "Computer Science." It's honestly very hard to get that much out of it.
Not to mention my desire to further my Graphical Design aspects. I went into Web Design because I thought it would provide me with the opportune medium to create really neat things, but I found out that the majority of the degree ended up being about Programming and I dunno if I like that so much. I like messing around with Javascript and CSS, don't get me wrong. But I feel like this is what I wanted to do as a minor detail and that graphical design was my true reasoning for going into this degree. This is probably why I'm going to take a few design classes on the side next semester again.
Not to mention I've also gotten interested in model design for video games...but that's for another time.

Speaking of design, I guess I have to go back to the whole "update" deal. So, why have I not been updating? Has it been WoW? Has it been the fact that Batman is right behind me right now just aching to beat up some more thugs? No, it's actually...uncertainty.
Don't get me wrong here, I am very close to updating. I wasn't lying last time when I said I had two comics almost ready. Back then. Problem was, I looked at them and thought "No, no, no, that's not right. I can't do that." and threw them out. I just recently redrew one comic and I think I was able to condense the two into one...but I don't know entirely yet. I'm still drawing the comic and I do feel like it'll be updated soon.

Anyway, why am I uncertain? It's not exactly the few comics ahead that I'm worried about, but the comic's future. I've been drawing a lot lately, doing concepts and figuring out my styles. I've had critiques heard and listed and I've come to the conclusion that I really have no idea where I'm going with it.

...let me reiterate: I know what the story is going to be about. I've had this story in my head since Falcon was created and Gameck created a few months after. This is a story that's been in my head for 5 years now. Heck, I have stuff planned so far ahead that I think I would never have to worry about "where to go from here" story-wise. The problem is, I want to shift something dramatically art-wise and I have little clue as to how to do it, and how it will affect things.

In the end, these months without updates have been annoying to me, as well, because I've had to rack this idea in my head for a few months now...

How do I change the characters into humans? Both story-wise and art-wise.

And I've gotten close. At least with one. I still have more, and thus starts my real problem.

Why am I so focused on this sort of change, you may ask? Simple: I hate relying on a character model I don't own. Falcon and Kifyra were never supposed to be hedgehogs and X3 and X6 were never supposed to be foxes. The only main character in this comic that has had their character design completely on-point is X7, who was created to be a humanoid dog. In the end, my constant laziness with sprites created a real obstacle. I've always said that I was focusing on making the characters unique and not the sprites, but in the end, that's not what being an artist is about. It's about being creative on all fronts. And when I switched to drawing, I started to really see the roadblocks I've created for myself.

If I want to get better at what I do, I need to figure out a few key issues. And I assure you, I'm thinking of them all. I really am wanting to get this comic rolling again, and I think...well, no better time than now.

Seven years later, the hero reawakens...? by Falcon6

So, that wait was quite an ordeal, huh?
I'll be honest, my long absence was due a large part on my duties in ol' World of Warcraft. Ever since the guild I'm in disbanded, I had an opportunity to take a break from raiding that beastly Ulduar. I assure you, I'm going to be going back into the game soon enough, but being cut out from my officer duties again should allow me a lot more time to do whatever needs to be done vis a vis the comic area. My plan is to do a server transfer to the same server our favorite alien parasite is at. [Metroid152, in case you forgot your favorite. On a side note, Metroid is a huge charlatan, taking advantage of my poor guildlessness to make me spend $25 for it.]
But because of financial areas, I can't server transfer yet, so I'm using the opportunity to get some WORK done.

Another part of the comic having issues returning was mostly due to my classes. Especially in April and May, I just didn't have enough time to do stuff. This accounted for even WoW, before someone picks up on it. College is serious business! D=
And it'll probably be worse off come August. Ah, well. I think my next objective to improve myself comic-wise is finally going to be my schedule-keeping.

Anyway, comic back and cheers are heard...in at least one place in the Interweb. And no, I don't think I'll be able to keep to a set schedule for at least a few more weeks. I still need to figure out what all I can do about it. I'm planning on figuring that out soon, though.

Just know that I already have comics being ready. The next two should be particularly interesting.

Random one-thoughters: The End-of-Semester Freakout by Falcon6

* Man, this place is dusty. Could use a nice scrubbing-down.

* Why do people tote Coke Zero as "Real Coke Taste" when I can easily tell which is which?

* I have a busted 360, and have yet to call the proper people. Is this out of a sense of laziness, or a sense of wishing to give my 360 a proper burial?

* I can't eat a Big Mac or Whopper without feeling horrible afterward. The Big n' Tasty or the Whopper Jr., I'm alright. And the McNuggets and Tendercrisp...well, that's just fine.

* I'm hungry now. Dang it.

* I thoroughly enjoy Team Fortress II, so why don't I play it more often?

* I have two online classes, one that hasn't been touched, that need to be done in the interval of 3 weeks. Now, why am I taking this time talking about one-thoughters?

* And seriously, why do online classes ask you to have tests closed-book? The point of an online class is to either get it done quickly at the beginning or quickly at the end. Stop chaining it down with stupid pleasantries.

* I thoroughly enjoy Web Design and wish to base my career off of it, and yet I have created a total of 3 web pages that show up on the web today. And one has been butchered by some kid in my old Web Design class that probably just took it so he can read their Myspace page all day.

* I haven't drawn a lot lately as a serious time investment. Just some random doodles here and there that have actually gotten progressively better. I really should find the time to do more serious drawings.

* I really need to write more often. People tell me the real draw in the old comics was the dialogue.

* If I ever were to do a comic based on World of Warcraft, I'd probably cast myself as my Human Mage.

* Yes, I know my Mage is a female.

* Yes, I know that's weird. Still, I can't see myself taking my Troll Hunter seriously as a "hero." He's more "Do this stuff, wolfy" and sitting back as the pet does the work. As a Mage, you're more likely to do some of the dirty work yourself. With glowing hands of fire.

* Of course, I do have a Lv. 80 Warrior tank now that could fit the bill of "main character."

* I like to muse about situations that would never come about in the actual comic. For example, X3 and X7 have a more symmetrical friendship about them...at the moment, they're roomies, but they're more buddy-buddy than you'd see at least for a long while. They're like the Odd Couple, except they're both pretty messy and OCD in their own ways.

* The idea of a really messy person with OCD amuses me. I should call NBC.

* Ah, who am I kidding, they won't take it...I'll try Fox.

* I plan ahead too much. For example, at the rate I'm going and the comics planned, I could be doing this stuff until I'm 30. To be honest, I'm not that up to it.

* Then again, it might be 25 if I actually do start updating every week again...god forbid.

* I actually had more fun working with sprites back during Halloween. I want to do those again. I don't want to give up drawing, but I want to sprite again. Maybe just for the comic itself.

* On a positive side for this WoW addiction of mine, I have bought fewer games. You may say "But you're missing out on ____", but if I was worried about that, I wouldn't really be playing WoW this much to begin with.

* On the negative spectrum, I have 3 weeks to get done with two online classes.

Just throwing out some updates here.

So, I mentioned a few weeks back about my WoW guild having troubles. Turns out it was just a small issue. Not only are we growing, but we ended up killing Malygos, the Aspect of all Magic in Azeroth and the last raid of Wrath at the moment until next content patch.
That's what I love about WoW. Even after an expansion, you know there'll be more to it than what you have now. The $15 a month bill is starting to show the real value to it now.

Started my Spring semester today. A class at 8:30am should straighten my sleeping habits out...somehow. Also got a class at night now and two online classes. Why, I'm certainly experiencing a lot now!

Also, we're right around the time where the site first began. Two years coming! And on the 24th, the name Falcon6 will be 5 years old. They...*sniff* They just grow up so fast.
What changes have happened the past two years. Say what you will about my drawing [I've said many things], but considering where I was when I technically started...well...I think that speaks for itself.
Many phrases, in fact. Along the lines of Oh, my god, my eyes!
Eh, well. I may have been a bit bad on my update schedule, but I have improved and that's what I've desired.
What a good time to have the 2-year anniversary. Soon, Anhs and I will be working on a small, but noticeably big change on the site. You might enjoy this one, too.

What else...OH! I forgot to post this on the site. I finished up a project of mine before Christmas. I posted it on the forum, but in case you missed it.
Turns out that The Spirit ended up being a bad film. Harsh. Maybe I'll have more luck with Watchmen, whenever that comes out.

In any case, the update should come soon enough. As far as the comic goes, though, I'm pushing to have the next one done as soon as I can.

Where to find a limping kid at this time of year... by Falcon6

So I was a bit off on my little promise of returning. No motivation, my drawings suck, other things keeping me away from it, blah, blah, blah...

I'm trying to figure out ideas for a site redesign so I can at least add some entertainment into this site SOMEHOW. It'll be an odd venture, but it most likely won't come into fruition until Sir Anhscruzader gets his computer back up and runnin'.

I am planning something for you guys, though...I'll post it up when I have a chance.

Many of you may have heard of Brawl in the Family, a really sweet webcomic that all fans of Super Smash Bros. Brawl can't help but love. Well, at the moment, they're doing a little Grinch-style storyline starring King Dedede. Part 2 even has music!
Seriously, I love this comic so much.

On a sad note, it seems as though my guild in World of Warcraft is in trouble concerning leadership issues. Oh, noooo...
...I...I know this only really means something to those that actually play the game, but now, a guildie's trying to pick up all the pieces. It'll require a bit of a precise hand. I'm now an officer to help out.
The entire situation is sad enough, because we just full-cleared the 15 bosses in 10-man Naxxramas, even after blunders in attempts which also include a certain Hunter taunting a boss off the main tank when I meant to hit Bestial Wrath instead, thereby sending aggro towards the healer before the tank could get it back towards him...
...if you understood anything about that sentence, then you know that's a major screwup. Eheh...
Ah, well...if anything, this will fix itself up later. If not, I could be forced into Metroid's server and guild. He decided to switch his main to a Death Knight for Wrath, thereby making him totally original!
...I kid ya, Metroid.

So, what's everyone going to get for Christmas this year? I was actually pretty modest for once and took the PS3 off the list. All I really need right now is a hard drive for my 360 and game cards. The games I asked for [Fallout 3, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, and Chrono Trigger] can all wait if I need to.
But I seriously need some Microsoft points. The original Banjo-Kazooie is on the Arcade and looks great in HD. I can't help but need it. I'm also wanting Street Fighter II HD, but I want to figure out if I have any people on my friend's list that have the game for online play.

But enough of that. In case my little gift doesn't pop up on the front page here, [I'd show it after Christmas on the site, but beforehand in the forum, I'm sure] I just want to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Hey, fellas. Apparently, I still have a site! Ehehe.

You'll find that it gets much more busy around this time of year. Oh, so fun. I had to level my WoW character to 80. If that isn't enough for you, I also have a few design classes with finals still needing completion. Also got sick last week, which is to be expected around this time of year. To top it off, both my friend and a family member have been sent into the hospital the past few days.
Stress, thy name be Falcon now.

I haven't forgotten the comic. I've just been really, really unmotivated in doing it and just find myself enjoying myself more in other activities. It's gotten tiring to figure out the best way to portray the comic right. A full year with no progress is nothing to be happy about and I'm sorry about it.

SO! Enough with the blahness. Enough putting it off. If I want to get anywhere with my stuff, I need motivation and I need to figure out a way to make it actually enjoyable again. ROAR!

The Guy Whose Clocks Are All Messed Up by Falcon6

But dang it, I can't help but think that X7 would be a classy foulmouth. Heh.

Okay, okay, so I'm sorry about missing that post last week. Been busy. Still no Black Temple completion, but tonight, we did take down a boss that was annoying us a few weeks back, so...meh.

So, I thought I'd bring up my pets real quick for fun.

Because they are sooooooooooooo magnificent. That's right.

First off, my Devilsaur Saurbites. You already know of him. My main raiding pet right now. Definitely a cool pet to have, but you have to wait until around Lv. 60 for a Hunter to get one, as they require a talent called Beast Mastery, which allows a Hunter to tame an exotic pet.

Second, we got Magilla the Gorilla...
I was going to call 'em the "Gorillamydreams", but dang character limits.
He's my tanking pet. He's the one I'm taking with me when I'm killing a bunch of stuff solo. Trust me, gathering 8 enemies at once and killing them all quickly is a fantastic feeling. >.>

And finally, we got Kala, my Bird of Prey.
If they had a viable falcon in the game, I'd probably use him, but Kala is a good bird anyway. She was my raiding pet before the patch. Right now, she has the ability to disarm my enemies, so I'm thinking...PVP!
Though I think a lot of the Alliance would be scared about that Devilsaur coming towards them. Who knows?

But ya know, I've focused so much on my Hunter that I forgot to mention something else. I also have an Alliance character! A Human Mage. She's called Veras.
An interesting thing about her is that she's on an RP server. I went in with a huge backstory planned, but in a game like WoW, that doesn't exactly work...you only go into RP when you are invited into it.
But I enjoy the atmosphere of the RP server...seems more worried about correct grammar than other servers, which is nice. Heh.
And Mages can be a blast to play. See, they nuke...

I wanna get her to 70 soon enough, but unfortunately, my Hunter requires more attention. But what can ya do? Heh.

Anyway, seems like Wrath's coming out soon enough...I personally can't wait. Can't come soon enough...once it actually does come out, I can finally relax for a bit...=P

You notice the sub-arc's still not done. This comic actually came to me a few days ago, so I thought I'd make it for laughs. The arc was supposed to end today with the end of Halloween, but whatever. It should be done on Monday and, if all goes well, a new story comic will start on that Friday.

Frothing Desire by Falcon6

So, you probably noticed, but it's basically "geek out about World of Warcraft in my newsposts" month until the release of Wrath of the Lich King.

Went to Black Temple today. Already killed the first two bosses Wednesday, so we decided to go again today instead of another raid. Because, hey, we might as well. Up to Shade of Akama, who, in all respects is pretty meek. Easy to do before, I'm sure, and SO easy now that Blizzard nerfed the raids.

Easy boss to understand, and I'm sure the ability to AOE tank better for Warriors is a godsend, as this fight requires adds that randomly appear. It was basically a "kill things before tanks are overwealmed" fight, and man, it was easy. I had to help with setting traps to keep the guys from attacking heals, so I can't exactly say I'd be top damage or DPS for the fight.

But I took a glance at my damage meter for the overall run and was a bit happy.

I think it was Metroid that said that, without at least 1200 DPS, I couldn't be at his level.

I'm paraphrasing, of course. If he mentions anything about this, I'm sure he'll correct me. But it was what I felt...

Wow...WoW by Falcon6

So, for those WoW nuts that read the comic, [well, two of you...actually, one of you might not even read this] I have been busy as of late.

Patch 3.0.2 came out on Tuesday. This is otherwise known as the "Wrath before Wrath" patch, as it gives you all the stuff promised in the next expansion, but without the new continent and leveling from 70 to 80...oh, and no Death Knight yet, either.
Essentially, what I'm playing right now is WoW with Wrath, and the game that comes out is a huge patch that unlocks it for me...if that makes sense.

As a Hunter, I got a few new, awesome things. My main thing I'm enjoying right now is the ability to tame an exotic pet. Obviously, the first thing I got was a new Devilsaur, which is widely known by Warcraft fans as that special little surprise waiting for you.
I also get extra little goodies, like the ability for my pet to be an off-tank for some mobs in normal dungeons and more pet buffs than you can shake a Devilsaur's tiny arms at.

Not only did this patch help with my own abilities, it also helped my guild go up in the world. We're in Black Temple now, which, for those who don't know, is the second-to-last raid instance in the game right now. It holds the infamous Illidan Stormrage. He conjectures that your level of preparation could perhaps be improved somewhat.

I enjoy this. I never thought I'd be in there before Wrath comes out. I'm happy.

In any case, that's what I've been up to. Also got school work for once, but that's for another day. D=

Alright. So. I hope this side-story arc seems at least a bit interesting to you.

Stuff like this, I would hope would end up in a small "side-comic" that I would put up in the site at some location. It'd be more like my old comics, really...nothing too drawn, if you get my meaning. Something that could be put into the story's canon-cannon, but not precisely pivotal to the plotlines I have planned. You know, just wacky stuff.

So, what have I been up to? Last night, I watched Iron Man finally. I can't believe I didn't watch it in theaters, because it was quite good. Very Spidey-like, which is a good plus. Plus, Robert Downey Jr. played a fantastic Tony Stark. Too bad it was overshadowed in superhero movies by The Dark Knight.
If you want to watch a movie sometime, I'd recommend it.

I found out that Toys R Us is having a rather nice sale on video games. Buy 2, get one free. I highly suggest checking it out if you're around a Toys R Us. I'm going down to the one nearest to me tomorrow, and I'm thinking the games I'm choosing are Disgaea DS, The World Ends With You and maybe Assassin's Creed, but it's rather hard to tell. I'm thinking the 3rd game will be up for grabs depending on how much I'm willing to spend. There's also a 30% off sale on Wii Accessories, including Wii Point Cards, so I'm thinking of that, too. Really depends on stuff.
I'm thinking I should go in expecting either the sale to be phony or for some of the games to not be there. But hey, if I end up saving $30 while still getting games I'm interested in playing, that's good for me. That $30 is going towards Wrath, anyway.

I just got my trial of the Adobe Design pack, which contains CS3 versions of Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and such. I'm really hoping I can use the trial for good instead of wasting my time with it like I did the trials for Flash 8, Photoshop CS2 and whatnot. In fact, does anyone want a website done? I'll do it for cheap...D:

Zelda Reorchestrated. This is a site with a lot of free Zelda remixes done quite professionally. I already hit the 1000 song mark on my iPod thanks to these songs. I love the Zelda fanbase sometimes.

Breakin' Out, eh? by Falcon6

Alrighty. So, a little different thing I'm doing here. Just planning something weird here.
I was planning on just waiting until I got to a break, but I found out this story wouldn't work given the time frame. I was also going to wait until I got the actual side-comic system working...but considering I'm short on time, I decided to not worry about it and add it to the main archive.

Why the break with the main story?!

It is as the comic itself said. I am a bit tired. I've had a comic sketched up for a few weeks, but I wasn't able to finish it. I got too busy and I felt somewhat out of it. I decided a bit of time to think things through would help..but I also didn't want you guys to be completely without some activity here. This is how you keep people looking.

Because I ended up waiting too long, I decided to do something a bit different. For old time's sake.

Why sprites again? God, you're such a stealer.

Bleh. I'll be honest, I enjoyed it.

Nostalgic to do a comic like this. Sure, once you've done drawn comics for a year, going back to sprite comics seems a bit too easy. But I decided to give it a try. And I'll be honest, it felt neat.

Seriously, are you sticking to sprites? Can we forget the drawing stage as if it were an event that never happened?!

No TV and No Internet Makes Falcon Something-Something by Falcon6

Anyway, because of all that stuff, my Internet and cable went out. Power was still on, though, so I spent the time finishing this comic and playing through Twilight Princess again.

I'm still wondering what the HECK was going on here. The scene evokes both a harsh reality that we haven't had a three-Link boss yet and yet shows an edge of creepiness.
Sure, with anyone else, it seems just bleh, but this is Link we're talking about. The guy can hardly talk, let alone commit murder...to himself. While girls rotate downward from the sky with a creepy laugh...while Link just smiles all dark-like.

Of Classes, My Hunter Class, and Staying Classy. by Falcon6

Another day, another hour off my Multimedia class. Say what you will about it, but if I can go into class an hour late and get done with the project before the 2nd hour is done while everyone else is stuck on steps 1 or 2, I think I don't exactly feel too needed there. I guess my Photoshop and Flash experiences from long before have both given me too much of an edge. I really hope my teacher isn't angry about being late, but I think he might be able to let it slide if I'm that quick. I'll have to ask about it when I get the chance.
Still, I might need to stop sleeping in so much. Having 3 days of a class at 9am and 2 days of a class at 8am in the same room with the same teacher can really screw me up.

Graphic Design is actually somewhat beneficial to me. I'm drawing a bunch of Cs in a different way, but I'm actually somewhat pleased with it so far. From what the class promises, I might be able to draw things a little smarter. I won't be so easily swayed to just draw one thing and stick with it, I mean. Plus, I get to mess around with Prismacolor markers, which is nice.

I'm loving Illustrator so far. Sure, I'm just making random things like a stoplight at the moment, but the fact that I can make it without use of an eraser is rather fantastic. I think I've been so enamored with the new stuff I'm learning that I've neglected the attention of my own drawing. I guess I gotta quicken the pace.

And then there's the World of Warcraft. Throughout my adventures in this realm, I've increased my viability in my guild's raids so much that I feel as though I've become a staple for any raid planned. That, plus the fact that for the past week or so, I've been a substitute co-leader, has been a pain. I keep wanting to pay close attention to my comic, but eventually, I end up focusing more on the raids than on the comic itself. Not a particularly good thing...
I'm thinking of just taking Wednesday and Thursday off of WoW, as we don't do anything in particular on those days. On Monday, we attempt a 10-man raid. On Tuesday, we gear up our lesser-geared guildies in Karazhan, which is the opening raid area for Lv. 70s. On Friday, we do...something. Saturday, a 25-man gear-up, and Sunday a progression raid.
Better to organize my time now than later, eh?

On the point of the comic, I have to say without a doubt that I'm improving, albeit not as much as you'd expect someone to. The problem I have is that my level of output is not as high as I'd like it to be. I'm still on a comic a week, which isn't a very good thing. I'm focusing on producing a faster comic, but the fact that we've only gone through 38 comics since one year ago isn't a very good thing.
Maybe WoW is a part of this, maybe not. The point is that I've slowed down too much. The fact that all these other comics have gone up to hundreds of updates while I've done a measly 38 is not good at all. Not good at all.
This may be a small pastime and I personally feel like the forum gets more love than the comic, but I still have a story I want to convey, dang it, and I'll convey! CONVEEEEEEY!!

So sorry, but I had to delay the comic. Apparently, I just realized that, because I'm one of the few people around here getting an education in Web Design and Development, I'm the one people will go to for web "stuff." Both at home and on WoW, [guild website.] I have become a sort of consultant/doer of the web. So, I was a little preoccupied on these new "jobs" to get the comic finished.

Even so, I should maybe have some thing done by Monday, provided I don't get preoccupied with these new things, plus my new job as an Officer in my guild. And I'll have a regular comic next Friday.

On a good note, though, I have decided against something that would push back my productivity of the comic. I'm thinking that if I want to change it in such a way, it'd be best to do so later on. That way, I can use random time off of the comic stuff to work on this project of sorts. I'd love to change something like the main character looks and such, but I also want to get this part of the story over with before that happens. Plus, it'd make more sense to wait until a break in the story, anyway.

I know, a break in the story seems like a godsend nowadays. And I hate that it's a feeling I can relate to. I hate when other comics drag things like stories along, so why do I do the same...for like a year now? It's so weird.

Anyway, I know I keep promising it'll pick up, and I plan to make sure it does, so continue to bear with me, eh?

Yup...I am back in college once more. This time, though, it's less of the math and history and more of the Illustrator and Flash. Oh, yes.

This should be an interesting experience...problem is, going from waking up at 12am to waking up at 6:40am...is not fun. >_o'

Disappearing Ink by Falcon6

So, I was wondering...is there a particular inking pen anyone here would recommend to a guy wanting to start inking a little more? I'm messing around with methods and considering a more traditional style of inking, like some glorious people out there, but most of the time, I mess up in the inking process...I'm thinking I should find a better quality inking pen, but I'm just wondering where I could acquire such a pen.
I currently have a Helix brand.

Also, is there a particular way to clean up the inking in Photoshop besides...the pen tool? Or is that always going to be a job for Illustrator? If anyone actually knows, please contact.=O

So, another week without an update. So sorry. I've run out of excuses, so I'll just chalk it up to incompetence.

Just in the nick of time, I was treated to a piece of fanart by The Great B-Man, a user of my forums and a good friend of mine. Here's his dA account. Considering how this is literally how things can end up, I laugh...and cry...and die a little inside...but then I laugh again. And I decided to put it up as a little guest comic until I get a real one up. Hoorahs are in order for B-Man. Hoorah, hoorah!

Also, the Fan Art page has been updated. With the guest comic for future viewing [taken from the archive] and a cute little cartoony X3 by our resident "maniacal arteest", MK1.

Anyway, I haven't talked in the news for a while. But ya know, it's not like I missed anything important. I mean, Nintendo had a pathetic conference, my interest for Fable 2 and Fallout 3 has increased, I'm feeling very happy to own an Xbox 360, [despite the ominous feeling I'm having about it right now.] no more worries about buying a PS3 in order to play #13, [though I'm sure I'll get it for Metal Gear Solid 4 or even Kingdom Hearts III whenever it comes out.] and the Wrath of the Lich King beta info coming out. Oh, by the way, I'll be a happy Hunter indeed.

But ya know, there's something I'm missing...something big...OH, YES!

So, we've all seen and heard the hype about the Dark Knight. I'm sure those who've had interest in the film have seen it, but for those who haven't, I must ask "why?" This is by far one of the best superhero movies I've ever seen. I'd say it would be better than Spider-Man 2, but I do enjoy that movie a lot. So, I'm gonna say it's pretty even right now.

Go see it for the brilliant last performance of Heath Ledger. Go see it because it's a great film. But above all...see it because...it's freakin' Batman!

Anywho, I don't have much else to say...except I'll hopefully see you on Friday with some actual material. Ehehe...

Seems like that's my greatest attempt at drawing so far. Sad to say, indeed.

But ya know? I'm happy. For once, I feel like I did something better than before. I realize it's nothing "great" in the eyes of true geniuses out there...artists with perspective and proper training...people with an eye for quality. But for a guy that has basically trained himself on this stuff...a guy actually doing this out of spite...a guy who has felt pressure inside of himself to draw better...

I gotta say, I'm proud of it. Obvious flaws aside.

Not that I'll be quitting here. Oh, no. I have much more to work on. You can see everything I have to work on here and there's more to do. Thankfully, I'll be working on just that.

Not only that, but this comic right here is what I think will be the true beginning of a story I really am pretty happy with. And at the very least, one main thing I want to do is find the best way to show this story to you guys.

Let's hope I get to do that, eh? And HEY! I could make it more funny! How 'bout that?! D=
Yes, I notice a real lack of funny in the comic lately. Heck, death occurred in the comic, if you want to call Bob-omb explosions "death" and not "a stupid way to attack." I'm definitely going to be changing that in the next few comics, I assure you. I am getting my writing bone in gear...and it hasn't moved in months! :(

On a side note, things just got a little too real for me. Money issues reside in the household. Nothing that'll put my livelihood in jeopardy, I'm sure, but changes will be coming. I guess that's what you get for having a family member in the auto industry. Once the oil goes up, the workers go down.

Makes me realize that I need to get a job. I have an uncanny ability to live for myself through my random needs, like website buying and WoW accounts and random games. However, due to the new computer I got a month or so ago, I can't live on this supposed dream that I'll be whisked away to my perfect job. I don't even know why I thought that would be true in the first place. Yes, I am training to be a web designer, but I can't live off that until I have training and I can't exactly live with my parents for years to come until my web design stuff pays off in full, especially when you consider me going off to a 4-year college in a year or two.

So, I guess I gotta do that. I can't live off of mowing grass, especially since I still owe money for this computer.

Lot of changes coming in, I guess. That's life, though.

Thirdly [?], just in case someone missed it, the new Futurama movie, The Beast With a Billion Backs, came out this week. Here's the main thing that should be noted: It's a sub-par Futurama movie, but even the sub-par is great when it comes to Futurama. So, for those who are wondering if it's worth the standard DVD price, I must say a resounding "Yes."

Fourthly [?!], Mother Nature needs to stop being angry around here. We don't need this much rain, dang it!

Fifthly [now that is just insane...I think that's a word, too..o_O], I'm thinking of seeing Wall-E soon, but I dunno how to go. I don't wanna go alone, but I don't want to take a friend, because I'm sure they'd rather see something like the Dark Knight. Maybe I could see if my mother would like to go...as some sort of early birthday present or something.

I just now noticed that I haven't spent a good amount of time discussing my new, magnificent computing machine. Well, time to go about it.

T'was two weeks ago that I got this new computer. What a monster it is. It's an XPS 420, Intel Core2 Duo computer with an nVidia GEForce 8800 GT graphics card. 22in. wide-screen monitor with two speakers plus subwoofer- *grunts*
...*cough*

Yes, playing WoW at 130 fps is preeeetty awesome indeed.

Playing any game I want now is pretty good,too. I just got Team Fortress 2 on PC and it runs great. I already had it on Xbox 360, but it's a whole different experience on PC. I like it.

I just need to learn how to play it.

MGS 4 just came out and I have a problem with it. Problem is, I can't play it without a PS3! Kojima, how will you solve this?!

*sigh* Latest I'll be able to get a PS3 would be Christmas Time...which stinks. I could do it during my birthday, but...I'm looking at something else for that particular occasion. [love student discounts, by the way.]

Comics are taking a brief hiatus. How brief depends on three factors:

A: If I can stop drooling over this new computing machine next to me.
B: If I can get my Photoshop and printer all installed easily.
C: If I can handle Vista.

There's really a few things I gotta get working out before I can even get through the comic. That, plus the fact that I'm still having issues with this one comic. Methinks I do need a little break...but I can't see why I should try and justify it, considering I hardly make updates anymore.=(

But I'm enjoying this so far. My only qualm is Vista's complicated nature. It's not so much "bad" as it is "too different from XP."

Oh, and if I can do it, I also need to find a way to move my iPod stuff from my old computer to my new one. I can do it with purchases from iTunes, but that makes up about 8-10% of my actual library, which has narly 950 songs. There's a way to transfer the actual library from old computer to new as detailed by Apple but I can't seem to figure out how to get my iPod to show on My Computer in Vista. It's baffling.

Eh, well...I suppose I should leave with something else than my ramblings...um, videos, videos.

Memories of Bad Sprite Comics by Falcon6

Today's comic is actually a flashback for those who have read these since back in the day. How far back? Since Comic 74. I don't usually like looking back to those old comics, but...honestly, I sometimes feel the need to...a need I frequently repress.

I never bring this up as much as I should, but Lizer is actually a real person. A photographer friend from back in the old, good days of NSider. Nice, smart and handy with Photoshop and a camera. He and Metroid were both on friendly terms, so I made them friends in the comic, as well. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I haven't heard from Lizer in nearly two years. I still keep him in the comic, though, simply because he created my favorite running joke of the comic. That and I sometimes hope he'll find these comics and know he wasn't forgotten.

Anyway, for those who recall, Lizer's old representation back in the sprite comic days was a White Mage. Being the fact that the Final Fantasy sprites were rather...unreliable in figuring out distinct features for gender, it became apparent that I accidentally cast Lizer as a female sprite. Of course, this is back in Final Fantasy terms. The original White Mage from Final Fantasy I was actually considered male. However, I decided it would be more logical to turn him into a Red Mage. So, using an incredibly stupid machine idea to change the sprite [gender], I made him into a Red Mage...a Fashion Mage, in fact.

In any case, a shoutout to Lizer. If he ever ends up finding this, I hope he decides to contact me.=)

Anyway, I thought I'd give you some gaming updates while I'm here.

World of Warcraft - Got my epic flying mount. For those who don't know, this means I go faaaaast in the air. I also laugh at the commoners on their pitiful epic ground mounts. Ha-ha-haaaah.
...note to self: petition to Blizzard to not remove the flying mounts for Northrend when Wrath of the Lich King comes out. I'll cry many tears if they do. If they put up a 10k gold requirement for it, I'll still cry.
Now that my main goal's done, I can focus on getting geared. I don't think I'll get a dragon mount anytime soon, anyway.

Grand Theft Auto IV - Beating Halo 3 in first-week sales. Getting enough 10s to be considered in-league with Ocarina of Time. Hype up the wazoo, and free media attention to boot. [any attention is positive attention] Despite it being completely out of my character to do so, I got this game. My reaction: joy. Very good game. The realistic look of Liberty City, along with the characters and the colorful commentary, have grown on me. Niko, as expected, is a fantastic and fascinating character. Gameplay is solid and easy to get used to. There's enough here to have you doing stuff until at [i]least[/i] Christmas.
Honestly, if you guys have a 360 or PS3, I highly suggest getting it. Multiplayer's solid, too. If you do get it for 360, play me: Falcon6x3.

Mario Kart Wii - Again, the game is as Mario Kart as you'd expect, with chaos to make Brawl seem like a light boxing match. After trying out online, I can say that the online is much better than Brawl's ended up being at launch. The only thing I have to do now is figure out a better way to get my online working on my Wii.
The only complaint I have with Mario Kart is that it probably could have done with a summer release. Putting it out the same time as Grand Theft Auto? Yeah, bad idea. It's easily overshadowed.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney - The fourth game in the Ace Attorney series. I can't express how much I enjoy these games. Honestly, if you have a DS, but haven't played these games, then you really need to do so as soon as possible. No DS library can be complete without these games.

Pokémon Diamond - A little late to the party, but I'm still doing alright with Diamond. I'm scaling the snow mountain right now, I believe. I'm going slower now thanks to the distractions above, but I'm still doing okay, I suppose. Doubt I'll be catching them all, as usual. In fact, I seem to recall only one instance where I caught them all

I really need to put some of my game-buying on hold. I got all of Metal Gear Solid and Bioshock to go through still, not to mention Phantom Hourglass and Warcraft III yet to be completed.

Also, I might be getting a new computer soon. An XPS from Dell. I want one that lets me do many things at once, but also has enough graphical power to do WoW at the highest standing and not being so low in the framerate category. Too long have I thought 14fps was "good."

And no, I haven't seen Iron Man yet. Why? I DON'T KNOW! ;_;

Violent thoughts by Falcon6

You know, it never astounds me just how incredibly moronic some people can be.

Grand Theft Auto IV has been out for almost four days now. It's gotten so much money since then and it's pretty much a success. I even hear it's broken Halo 3's record-breaking first day sales. A congrats to Rockstar for their job well done on that note, by the way.
Unfortunately, what would a Grand Theft Auto game be without controversy? Prostitution, violence, theft, sex, and what-not. And considering San Andreas, which brought people into terms with the phrase "hot coffee," I suppose looking at GTA IV with a wary eye is understandable. Still, some of these attempts at giving the game a darker look than it already has are borderline pathetic.

Now, I'm not going to go over a huge essay over how these crackpots have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. I'm not going to continue pressing my opinion over how much of an idiot a certain anti-gaming lawyer is. I'm not even going to mention him. I think I, as a gamer, have made my point clear on this matter which side I stand on.

All I'm going to say is three things: I'm 19 years old. My friend is also 19. Many of my users are teenagers who love video games. I've come across many gamers ever since I got on the Internet and grew better inside seeing the different viewpoints of the world. Not once have I felt like any of these people were "desensitized" to violence because they've played games like that. And I most certainly am not desensitized to it ever since I played Resident Evil 4, Dead Rising, and the Halo series, to name a few particular ones. And I don't see myself as becoming desensitized because I'll be playing Grand Theft Auto IV by the end of this weekend.

Also, enough of this crap about the game getting into the hands of minors. Nobody is saying "Hey, Grand Theft Auto should be played by kids." The only people who say that are gamers who already can't get it because of the age limit. Any sensible person can tell you that GTA shouldn't be played by a kid that young. Will these kids still get it? Yeah, if they try. Same with pornography and underage drinking. If they want it bad enough, they'll find a way to get it, no matter how many walls you put in their way. And banning the game outright is still, and forever will be, a violation of free speech. This is America, maaan. [no offense to my Canadian viewers, buddeh.]

And a final note: Stop saying games are the cause of violence. No, it doesn't cause it. No one is going to be killing someone because a game told them to. The person who actually does do this is already mentally unstable. Games don't cause violence. Gamers don't cause violence.
No, it's people that cause violence. A gamer doesn't shoot a pedestrian for their money. A person shoots a pedestrian for their money. A gamer doesn't kill prostitutes for money. A person kills prostitutes for money. A gamer doesn't carjack a truck. A person carjacks a truck.
Grand Theft Auto is not the ill that causes a dystopia in our society. It's not even the people who play the game. It's people. Period. End of discussion.

So, two games are coming out this week. One a big deal and the other just plain fun. One has you stealing cars and the other just gets hit by shells a lot.

First off, Grand Theft Auto IV. Yes, the video game world's lovely little attention getter. Despite previous installments being completely unattractive to me, this one actually seems very interesting to me. Not so much the fact that this is the first GTA game that is on a console I can play, but it's also the first one to seem engaging to me. It really does seem like they're conveying the fact that the game isn't all about crime and such, but also about a story...and the main character seems very interesting to me.

Next up, Mario Kart Wii.

It's Mario Kart Wii. Come on, what can't you like about it? Very fun. The Wii Wheel, though....very hard to get used to. Luckily, I can always use the GCN controller.
Also, I love the implemention of the Miis in the levels and as a playable racer. Simply because I can now race as Dr. Zoidberg...which is incredible.

I'm probably going to be looking into a new schedule for updating the comics, as my current schedule isn't working very well. I'll inform you guys when and if I do that.

For making a great game and creating a blog about the progress of said game. Because of that blog, I grew to hate you for teasing us, from the revelation of Sonic the Hedgehog being playable to online play and Stage Builder. However, in the end, I can't respect the man enough for doing it. If he didn't, it wouldn't have made Brawl as big as it was.

So, to celebrate, I made a filler comic depicting a Mario Kart Wii Dojo blog. You can tell when I ended up getting rushed on it. I had to miss working on a speech to do this one. I do hope you're happy.D=

Here's hoping Sakurai does well in his next project and I do hope it's a Kirby game.=D
Also, I did do this early, as the actual last post will be Monday....would've given me more time with working on it...hrm.

I wasn't able to meet the former President, Bill Clinton, as I had hoped. If I recall, while trying to get through the crowd, about 30 cops tackled me to the ground. I think they did it for the heck of it. Heard a huge figure like the President would be coming into town, so they wanted to at least beat someone down. But it is okay, because I was willing to take the punch...for AMERICA.
....though they didn't have to hit me in the nose. That was just un-American.

Oh, and my speech is in 2 hours and I don't even have it all down yet. This will just be perfect. I'm in the middle of the alphabet, so I'm hoping I would have to go on Monday instead. Here's hoping.

Eh, well. I'll be back Sunday, as I now have a bridal shower to not go to 5 hours away. And next comic will be postponed due to my busy schedule the last few days.

This site and I have a love-hate relationship. I love it for maintaining itself rather well, but I hate it for failing me. While, on the opposite end, my site loves failing me, but hates maintaining itself.

In any case, we're back, after a few weeks of uncertainty. T'was a weird feeling, to be sure. Right now, the forums are a tad messed up and we're still trying to figure out how to fix this stuff.

Bah. Sometime, we'll figure it out.

So, I've been doing random junk lately. Got the Metal Gear Solid collection [haven't played it yet], got Warcraft III [hardly played it already. How nice that one Blizzard game is messing up my game time on another.], and jumping hurdles in my quest for higher education. [every day in the summer at 10 am makes Falcon something-something]
All while trying to figure out how to do this comic. How fantastic.

I'll be honest when I say my heart isn't really in it anymore. So far, I feel like the comic itself gets like...5 regular views while all the views go straight for my forum. Not that I'm upset over this. Heck, if I could attract MORE people to a forum by not having a comic site, then maybe I'd be able to have a nice community of random people. Despite that, I just can't get that feeling working again and I'm afraid it won't start again.

I've looked into source after source for some sort of creative jumper-cable start, but I can't seem to get any sort of dedication going for what I've already gotten. It's not that I don't want to continue the storyline...heck, I have confidence that I could actually make something somewhat coherent in the future.

The thing is, I suck at drawing. [*watches everyone go "We heard that before"*] Think of it like this, then, for those tired of that phrase: Say you're going into a new job with only a small amount of talent for it. Like, say you went into a T-shirt design job with your only drawing skill being on the square. Sure, through time and effort you'll improve, [yes, I am saying I've improved...tremendously improved from what I could do years ago.] but that won't really work well because the people will get sick of your design skills. You can't go into a job and say "Oh, yes, and while this skill is underdeveloped, I'm sure I will improve over time." This won't go over well with most employers, unless you're in a temp job. A full-time job with promise of an income to help your family? Naaaah, probably not going to work.

This is the feeling I'm having right now. I have no intention of getting any sort of profit out of this comic, I assure you [the shirt ideas have evacuated the boat long ago], but I feel like I got into drawing the comics with only the smallest speck of drawing talent under my belt and prepared to make something out of it. And I did start drawing the comic because I wanted to improve myself, which I did. But still, it feels like this move only hurt my readership. And...

...

Bleh. Look at me, complaining about this. If I'm going to improve, I need to improve, not only through art, but through storytelling on a whole.

Saying how I can never do it is just going to hamper my own progress.

Also, I'm thinking of designing a website for some random purpose. I need one for my Final project, so I am thinking of making one for the grade, as well as one to actually put on the web.

Ever get those moments where you feel like you're in a rut? Where you feel like everything's the same, old, mundane thing? I've been getting this feeling quite a bit lately.

It's a bit odd for me to think this now. After all, I'm in a point where my life is anything but mundane, with it only being a year after high school and all. Heck, I know by experience that my life isn't mundane. It's more like my regular habits are becoming thus. It's always get up, relax, play WoW, watch TV, draw, eat, and go to bed. Not always in that order, of course.

This isn't really something I should have, because I'm going into a field I know will probably be mundane. Going through hours upon hours of coding and such, trying to make it all work perfectly. Still, I'm getting it.

Methinks I need a spice in my life. Something new and exciting. I shouldn't be getting old at 19 and a half, you know?

Maybe advancing a hobby would help. Or maybe picking up a new one. Heck, maybe just finding a job will help me out here. Or I should just work for my dad in the summer. Either way, I need to get out of this rut before I go mad.

I also feel like I haven't really improved vastly after my last improvement. I'll give you guys a small list of what I think are my improvements, based on marks.

Mark I - Comic 256 - My first real attempt at drawing a full comic. You can see me dabble in it way back, as well. Comic 99, I think.

Mark II - Comic 278 - The start of my drawing escapades. So many mistakes I made. I also put it in black and white format because I was dabbling in drawing back then, unknowing on how far I'd go with it.

Mark III - Comic 324 - Where I'm at now. I've since gotten rid of my preconcieved notion that I'd be doing it for "a bit" and decided to color it. Also, I've started finally figuring out just how bad I am in areas such as females and humans and such and how far I need to go in order to look at them and say, for once, that they're good.

As you can see, I have improved in some areas. Even I can admit that I have some areas where I have improved. Back in the day, I couldn't draw backgrounds worth a crap. Now.....well, it's not worth a crap anymore, at least.

Oddly enough, though, I have noticed that the better I get at drawing, the lousier I get at Photoshop effects. I can recall back in the day being able to use Photoshop to get the message across with sprites. I guess drawn, there's something I can't do anymore. Odd.
Thus, the reason why some effects, such as the lack-luster bombing effects and the smoke, are so disappointingly bad. I am still trying to figure out how to draw effects and, thus, put them into colored form. Some people make it look very easy and I am unable to comprehend how they do it all.

I find it odd that I don't find attacking myself any more or less mundane than drawing in general.

Maybe the feeling of depression and normality is simply the side-effect of getting over that cold I had this week. /shrug

All I know is, I need to stop complaining to myself about it and get back to work on it all. So, I gotta focus on getting my speech prepared for the week after Spring Break [who the heck puts a speech or test or ANYTHING on the week after Spring Break? I ask you...], then get my drawing worked on.

And for the love of God, I am technically talking to myself here and all, so I gotta say, I need to freakin' relax.

My father won a $500 gift from his work at his Christmas party a few months ago. [I'd say it was December, but even I can't recall when it was. Might've been one of those late-holiday "we gotta do it or else we get sued" kinda parties.] It goes to a small store in town that sells music, among other things.

My dad, being odd, decided he was going to use his gift for an HDTV in his bedroom. Now, suffice to say, he already has an HDTV in the house and he is hardly in his room to begin with. Same with my mom, though she usually sticks around the kitchen, which has a TV. In fact, I can name four places in my house that don't have a TV in that room: the computer room, the bathroom, the laundry room, and my parents' bedroom.

Now, I am a technical kinda guy. I have the 360s and the PS2s and all that. So, I stated, like once, that I could use a new TV in my room. The one I have right now isn't really that old. I'd surmise it to be around 2 years old now. However...come on. This is an HDTV we're talking about. And with me owning a 360 and [probably later in the year] a PS3, having an HDTV would seem rather logical.

Well, I only mentioned it once and now, I'm apparently part of a deal. I'll get the new HDTV and my parents get the TV I have now.

So, today, my dad and I went to the store and picked out the one for the catalog. I was busy looking through the music, but I did hear some key points: HDTV, 27in, 1080p, and Blu-ray. Then, the guy started talking to my dad over the Blu-ray deal. Me, having known about the results of Blu-ray's victory in the format war, got into the conversation. Suffice to say, I was partly impressed my dad knew about the stuff, as he seemed to follow it up easily. Either he's very convincing at acting interested or he's actually a little tech-savvy. Good times.

So, yeah, I'm getting a new TV. Awesome. Having gotten more and more into Call of Duty 4, I can safely say I'm happy for this.

In other news, my midterm's coming up soon, so I'll be alerting our affiliates that I'll be in stressed-out mode Level 5.

Sorry for the missed update last week. If it's any consolation, I was able to get two comics drawn today. Dunno if I can make the Monday update...though all signs point to yes.

My guild doesn't run Karazhan on the weekends, and I gotta be attuned to get in there, but I should be able to get through easily enough. I gots my flying mount now, too!=D

But enough about WoW.

I'm starting to play more Call of Duty 4 these days. If anyone wants to play against me, I might be on Xbox Live.=P

Oh, and I got Pokemon Diamond yesterday. It's pretty good so far. I can't wait to play more of it.
Though I'm not really a fan of the starters. I might look into getting a Charmander egg somehow, because I am just too good with Charizard.

World of Warcraft!

Lemme give you the breakdown here. Yesterday, I accomplished something I always felt like I'd never do: I got to Level 70.

I thought, what with my track record of games I forget to play, I'd have my account canceled and playing something else long ago. It was then I realized that the only reason why I haven't completed any of these games was because of World of Warcraft. Huh.

Anyway, I got Level 70. I got it through a quest that I had trouble with since Level 65. Kartharan [Metroid] was being too high and mighty with his supreme guild of supremity. [see, if you gave me co-admin there, I would have given you another awesome name. Dropped the ball on that one.>:P...though, I'll admit, "That's What She Said" is awesome.] So, I decided to do that quest and boom! Turned it in and got Level 70, thus proving that I am ready!

Turns out, about 2 minutes in, I got killed by a Rogue Gnome nearby. Just turned invisible, came up, and backstabbed me. It should be noted that I have developed a dislike of Rogues and Gnomes. A combination of the two create for an unhappy Falcio.

So, I've been playing it since September. My thoughts? Well, first off, let me just say that grinding for your level is tedious and backbreaking. Unless you go in knowing someone, prepare for a long grind. Money is hard to keep unless you're wise with it, as I wasn't beforehand. [to think, I thought grinding 100g was hard back then. I get that in a day without even thinking about it now.] Professions are a good way to get some money, but they require an extra set of leveling along the way. [Mining, for example, can be tedious unless you know exactly where to find stuff] Instances are nice little areas where you can have a bout or two of teamwork taking down things 5 times as tall as you. You get rewarded with exp, money, and even some gear, so a good way to get through levels would be to do as many instances as you can.

Story's not really a story, but more of a basis of lore. The Warcraft story is thriving with different characters that are interesting to look into. The part you're in is your own main story, really, but you don't really have much of a basis to add to your story. Nor is it rewarding unless you're on a roleplay server.

People will kill you. A lot. Makes it all the more sweeter when you finally get to 70 and tear them a new one.

And you can feel how much time is put into the details of Azeroth and the views of Outland. You gotta love Blizzard's creative team for designing sch a fantastic realm.

So, my analysis on the game?

It really boils down to "Would you pay extra online money for a good game?" I personally think the experience itself is rewarding enough for your funds, but if you feel as though it wouldn't be "good enough for $15 a month," then go ahead and pass on it. But I personally enjoy playing it.
There's a trial on their site (worldofwarcraft.com), so if you feel like trying something different, go ahead.=P

In any case, now, I have the chance to try out raiding and the arena. As well as venture into Karazhan, which is one of the things I've been wanting to do.

And hey! Now that I'm less-grindtastic with my level, maybe my comic-building will go quicker. Let us pray Wrath of the Lich King doesn't come out until after I get further into this story, then, eh?

I'll also finally be able to play more of the games I linked to above, maybe.

I got Metal Gear Solid 2 about...oh, a month or two ago. I just started playing it this week. Hah...
And Final Fantasy VII is still laying there, without proper attention. I should really play it more often, as it's my friend's copy.
I also have another game to add to the pile, which is a game I just ordered: Pokémon Diamond. I ordered it online and it should be arriving by Friday.

Eheh...well, actually, I wanted to try and order a game online and I was particularly lazy that night, so I just decided to order it online. See, laziness is usually a main thing to how I operate things.

Got sick by the middle of the week this week. My flu symptoms are subsiding, thankfully. They're not completely gone, though, as you'd expect. Still got a runny nose and an odd-feeling throat. My voice is going, too.
Not like I talk too much anyway, so I'm guessing I'll be fine by Tuesday. Hopefully. I'm at the age where I'm sure my parents would take the doctor bills out of my account.

You ever end up eating more sweets than you probably should? I had that happen.

It's not that the brownies were bad. They were quite good. The problem was that I had the duty of spreading powdered sugar over them and I ended up pouring a bit too much on it.

I really want to draw something now that all this Brawl stuff's coming out. Meta-Knight and Marth together is simply giving me joy. Mostly because I am pretty sure those two are going to end up my mains.

I am also Level 68 in World of Warcraft. Only 2 levels left before I get to the top level. Soon enough.

Note: The comic that was scheduled for this week is moved up to next week. This is due to my own incompetence.
...okay, for those who aren't amused by that, I am serious on some notes. The comic required drawing skills I didn't have, so I had to rework on them until I felt they were good. So, rather than post a comic I felt was truly badly-drawn, I gave myself a week to work on it so it's presentable. I'm sorry for those who are inconvenienced through this in some way. Have some Dr. McNinja for my repenting. kthx

I mentioned this through the forum randomly, but once I thought about it, the idea quickly got more interesting. If you recall, I pretty much forced myself to move from the original sprite comic to a drawn comic because I wanted to get more out of this comic than simply putting my story into a visual medium. I wanted to learn to draw better. So far, I have noticed a bit of improvement, but I also noticed a flaw in this idea.
For example, you might check out my issue through my deviantART page. The month by month intervals between each random drawing, one actually being a desktop update. I went into devART before to improve myself and it showed, but after drawing the comic, I had a steady decline in stuff to put there.

I did end up improving somewhat through this decision, but I, in turn, ended up making drawing more of a chore than an actual leisure activity like it was before. I didn't want it to end up like this, because the comic itself was only made for fun, really. Fun and the telling of my random, humorous story, of course.
So, I decided to try a new type of newspost. Something that, once a week, would give me a bit of incentive to draw something more than just the comic. I can use the time to draw things that I have trouble with, as well as stuff I simply want to draw. This might let me improve drawing as well as make it more enjoyable.=P

Anyway, in Intervention, [oy...] I'd basically post stuff about my current art direction, [or lack thereof.] as well as some drawings I've done in my spare time. I also want to use this time to try and work on different areas I have trouble with or want to try out. Here's hoping it works out well, as well as being interesting or at least entertaining to you guys.
This will be a short one, but you'll get the idea of what I'm trying to go for, I hope.

Inking: Since around 2005, I've owned a copy of Photoshop. Since then, I've used it in many different ways. First, I used it as an advanced signature-making program for NSider back when it was still alive. Then, I had a thread called NSider Wallpapers that basically housed wallpapers made by the many Photoshop gurus of the forum. [for those interested, that's pretty much when I met and became friends with Lizer and Metroid] Then, of course, I started this comic and used Photoshop to create sprite comics. However, I don't really do all of that much anymore. My only main use of Photoshop has been "enhancing" my drawings so they're presentable, as well as design this site.
Backstory aside, many Photoshop owners will tell you that one of the hardest tools to work with has been the Pen Tool. Mostly because of the different curves you can end up making and the Pen Pressure option that can confuse many. Most people agree, though, that the Pen Tool is quite possibly the best way for a mouse user to create a fairly nice curve without using a tablet or being very precise with a mouse. This allows me to create presentable art for the comic.

However, while the Pen Tool is a fantastic tool, it can't really compete with traditional inks. I'm talking real-life pens here. Luckily, through different methods, you can transfer your lined art straight to Photoshop for coloring. It's all about picking out the lineart through the channels. [long explanation, so try and check some lineart tutorials online.] I bought a few inking pens of varying sizes about a year or so ago, with hopes that I can ink something nice and [considering I had Flash back then] smooth it out on the computer for a nice lineart primed for coloring. Long story short, the "nice lineart" ended up as "It looked better on paper." I dunno if it's my scanner or simply no practice at all, but at the time, I was kinda disappointed it didn't work out too well. Plus, with the technique requiring a tad too much time, I decided to just focus once again on the Pen Tool.

Well, for this first segment, I thought I'd get the markers out and try it again. Give it a sporting go and whatnot. This is my result.

What this was was an attempt at my portrayal as a Mario character. I thought "Hey, a mask and a shy attitude. Seems exactly like me!" So, I drew myself as a Shy Guy, with a fancy cape and everything. The only thing that I did in Photoshop was blur the lines as well as erase outside marks. Oh, and the background.

Final Analysis: Surprise, surprise...my final thoughts on this is "It looks better on paper." I suppose it IS true that a year without practice is the same as a day without practice. Still, I enjoyed inking it, as it did feel like I'm putting more effort into it than simply scanning it on the computer and simply using the Pen Tool. However, I'm thinking I'll try and redo the lineart on Photoshop so I can create something for my devART gallery.=P
So, what I'm thinking of doing from now on is try and put some inking into my comic work. That way, not only would I get some practice in inking, but I'd also be able to make a note on areas that might not be clear enough through pencil lead. That way, I can remind myself of those little details when doing the Photoshop lines.

Also, I might examine different scanning types so I can figure out if it's a problem of scanning it wrong that makes the lineart as messed-up as it was.
Oh, and in case someone was wondering, I used Helix Fine Line Markers for inks. They're from the drafting area of the office store, so I might just have the wrong type of inks. Again, my knowledge of traditional inks is sketchy, pun not intended.

I'll open a thread on the forum about discussing the segments. I'd be much appreciated of your comments on this part, as well as suggestions on areas I could try and work on for the next Intervention. [oy...why did I even approve that name?D=]

Well, I just got done with my first week of school. How did it go, you ask?

I slept in through one day of classes...and I ended up having a class 2 hours away.
Which, for the latter, wouldn't be that bad if I didn't have only an hour to get between them.
Heh. So, an odd week. I'll also end up having an Internet class in the summer. From what my brother said, it's a good way to take classes so long as it's nothing big like English or Algebra.
And what class am I taking for the summer? College Algebra!
....oy.

Gonna draw a lot, play WoW a lot and do other crazy stuff this week, too, I'm sure. Just let me get the energy to do it.

Well, these 3 weeks off were nice and relaxing...but now, it's time to return to college. Hooooooray....

Okay, so...the site's been up for a year since Sunday. (January 6th) I honestly never expected stuff like bandwidth to be a problem because I didn't expect a huge rise in the population of the forum. Quite a surprise.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who reads this poor excuses for a site created by a poor excuse for an "artist" and a poor excuse for a web master...oh, no offense, Anhs. You guys on the forum have made this first year quite interesting. I hope you all keep coming and enjoy the weird company we keep.

Thanks to those who were here since the beginning and to those who just came in. Thanks to all the web hosts we've gone through in order to keep the needs working. Thanks to everyone who's been there for me and whatnot. I do appreciate everyone who comes here. I've made a lot of new friends coming through here and I enjoy the company.

So, honestly, while the comic has had ups and downs throughout the year, I'm happy enough with how it's slowly coming out. I am really hoping the comic ends up actually attracting more people someday...but to do that, I'll have to do some changing. Oh, sorry, not some...a lot. Heh.

Well...there's one year down. Let's see how 2008 goes for falcon6.net. And hey! Maybe we can go through a month where bandwidth isn't going through critical mode! Ah, but a person can dream...

Well, 2007 comes to a close. What an eventful year for me. I opened this site, graduated, got into college, got into WoW, got a 360, got a DS Lite, failed to watch all three LoTR movies, and spent the last few days before New Years watching a marathon of Futurama.

*sigh* So, my resolutions for the new year of 2008? Well, they are as follows:

- Become much better at drawing so that I can compare the first comic of 2009 with the first comic of 2008 and truly be able to say there's a huge difference.
- Get a better comic layout. Seriously, this "paste them all onto a black background" thing isn't working out for me. I need to either draw the entire comic as it would appear and size it down, or find a better way to express this stuff.
- Get to 70 in World of Warcraft. This should be done by February at the most. After that, I plan to get as much Hunter gear as I can and become much better than I am now.
- Watch all three LoTR movies. Yes, I'll do it. Jeez.>_>'
- Get a part-time job. Probably something like K-mart. I'd do Wal-mart, but according to my friend, it sucks your life force out and sneezes it out onto the pavement with creepy strangers talking to you in the bathroom.
- BeatMetroidInADuelBeatMetroidInADuelBeatMetroidInADuelBeatMetroidInADuel!!
- Make sure to buy all the box sets of Futurama now that it won't be on Adult Swim anymore. I know it'll be on Comedy Central, but I dunno when, so might as well make sure I got them.=P

So, in case no one noticed, there's a new Dark Knight trailer on the web of Inter. You know, the Interweb.

My first proclamation afterwards was "Wow. That was decidely awesome." I'm not going to get all jumpy over it, because the last time I did that, I was sorely disappointed. Still, I will definitely watch it when it comes out, I assure you.

I won't bore you guys with how I got to Lv. 58 today in World of Warcraft, thus being able to cross over into Outland. Whenever I state that I'm now 58, I feel a twinge of regret. That is to say, I'm not regretting the experience or time, as it was a blast in most cases. I'm regretting the fact that I'm closer to 70 than before.

I know, I know, for those who actually play it and read this, they'd say that there's always an alt, but I doubt I'd have the energy to get to 70 for my Lv. 13 Mage. And I guess I could relive the experience anew as an Alliance character, but I'd have to go to another realm and I wouldn't mind giving stuff to my alts when I have a chance.
So, soon enough, I'll be Level 70...then, I hope, I'll get to see what this "real fun" is that Kartharan [Metroid] talks about all the time.

But enough about the WoW stuff. Monday's Christmas Eve! Holiday cheer and whatnot. Though, to be honest, I haven't really gotten much into the Christmas spirit this year. As stated before, we had a weird Christmas planned this time, but now that the actual holiday's coming [one of which I'll be staying at home for], I can't seem to get much into the spirit. Maybe that'll change when I get some holiday shopping done this weekend.

I'm thinking of pooling money with my brother and getting a surround sound system for my parents. The living room isn't very big, but it could benefit from the addition of better sound to go with their new HDTV. The only issue so far is the fact that every surround system either has a DVD player or has a freakin' huge [bigger than the Xbox, even. woahz.D=] box to control it all. All we have is Wal-Mart and, if I go to the big city for Best Buy this weekend, it'd be with my parents, and I can't really get it there, right? "Oh, the surround sound in the back? That's for me and you guys are vain to think otherwise. Now, help me wrap it up." Yeeeah, not gonna work too well. [Fun Fact: I've kept this site quiet from my parents. So, no worries about prying....eyes. And yes, my parents would totally do that.]

My wish list, to the imaginary person who asked? The Orange Box, Call of Duty 4, and an iPod Touch. I could get an HDTV instead of the iPod Touch, but I decided against it. My TV could stand a year or two before it's needed. Besides, I have no use for HD until I get an HD-DVD Player or, eventually, a PS3 with Blu-ray.
After Christmas, I hope to get enough money saved for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, among other ideas.
And, despite most claims otherwise, I will get a job this Spring. My friend absolutely hates his job at Wal-Mart, and I'm feeling left out of the feeling of hatred. I need to get on the ball here.

Ah, well.
Have fun while you go off to do whatever it is you do during Christmastime. Maybe nothing, or maybe everything.

'Ho, boy...long day.
My dad joked about getting three HD TVs because they were $400 each...and really, how can you argue with that price? I also got my "list"...as in, I pointed out the different stuff I'd like for Christmas from my parents. iPod Touch [8Gb], The Orange Box, and Call of Duty 4 made the list.

This Christmas, for me, is actually a little more odd than most of my other Christmas seasons. This time, we're celebrating with my grandma a week earlier [next weekend] and we're giving out presents through a "Secret Santa"-ish sort of thing. The whole thing is as confusing as Thanksgiving without a blindingly-fast golf cart ride through the countryside.
....
In retrospect, that might be why I was sick for the last week or so. Nonetheless...
So, we have a Secret Santa sort of thing, where we each buy one gift for one other person. You know what that means? Gift cards galore! And I'm personally working on my "Oh, Lowes Gift Card? How kiiiiind of you..." grin. I just know that'll happen.

Ah, but I respect my family for putting a new twist on Christmas...especially since we don't have any younger kids right now [youngest will still be 13] and we can try new stuff. Of course, once my brother or myself get a kid around here, we'll have to go back. I mean, we all know that we'll have to...

Anyway, I recently got Futurama: Bender's Big Score. It's the brand-new Futurama adventure that goes into the bendng of time travel...and, considering the last time we had the Planet Express crew messing about in the past, you can expect hilarity in this one.
If you liked Futurama before, you'll love this one. So much fanservice.
And it's not even the only one coming out. We got 3 more coming soon...and if they go over well, we might even see a sixth season come out over at Comedy Central [as Adult Swim is losing it...and will have a huge marathon on New Years Eve, I believe...and Fox doesn't have space on its "fantastic" schedule.]. You never know.
In any case, if you're a fan, get it. Get two. One to watch and the other to hang and bow to.
If that's your thing, at least.

Finals this week. My friend has one, my brother has one, and guess what: I have four. I gotta keep my wits about me for these...one class isn't doing too well and I just need to at least get a passing grade for this Final, and the other class is messing me up with the terms. The others are Web Design, which is over forms so it should be okay, and Programming, which, if I retain my knowledge right for this one, should be okay.

So, wish me luck, I guess. I'm going to be over there, spazzing out...

Wanted to apologize again for missing the update last week. It must have annoyed...someone out there.

However, there's more to my less-than-stellar performance than simply World of Warcraft or Super Mario Galaxy. Actually, I've been a bit down as of late. An odd mix of feeling throughout. It's really hard to pinpoint.
Because of this random feeling, I've been having trouble as of late dedicating myself to the drawing scheme. If it's not the drawing that's bringing me down, then at least inking and finishing up that is. I'm guessing I just need to figure out a way to spark up my energy again.

Sooooo...I'm considering an addiction to energy drinks.
Now, before you go planning the Intervention party [bring brownies], let me just say that I won't be "addicted" to it, per say. Actually, I will pretend I am...and I'll watch hyperactive people on television. I would consider it a case of Monkey See, Monkey Fall Over From Spazzing Out.
While I'm on this venture to spaz myself out, I'm going to be studying for another spaz-tastic [oh, yes, I am going to use that word a lot] venture: Finals.

Yes, Finals. The thing that, for some people, is a murderous week from Hell, and for others, a cakewalk. I am hoping to be the latter, but I am perfectly confident that I just screwed myself over thinking it would be. [Message to me in a few weeks: I TOLD YOU IT'D BE [easy/hard]!!]
One of my Final Exams includes creating a website using what I learned in HTML this semester. That, I am starting on in Photoshop. I want to figure out how to make it as simple as possible, but with room for improvement, as I'm sure my "client" would want it to be improved on even after the final grade. It shouldn't be too hard. I tend to get better at things once I figure out how to start it.
The other finals are pretty much the same old song-and-dance. Multiple choice, essay, and what-not. You'll tell when I'm stressing when I'm running around the forum babbling in Pig Latin.

Of course, the holiday season is underway. You can tell because your moms are probably bruised up and your dads are hog-tied in the Christmas lights. Or maybe that's just my family.

To celebrate both the holiday season and, apparently, the end of a long hiatus of The Daily Show [writer's strike...ya know], here's one of my favorite holiday reports from them.

Oh, hello. You scared the crap out of me.

Remember me? Falcon6? I'm the guy who kinda makes this comic. You know, write it, draw the ~~awesome~~ art and whatnot. In case you hadn't noticed, Anhs has been updating the comic for me lately.
Apparently, something happened with the server that caused me to be unable to view my own site. They said it was a problem with the IP and that I should reset my router, but I unfortunately can't mess with that stuff. I don't want to have absolutely no Internet for a day or so, ya see. I'm kinda addicted to it. I just chose to use a proxy to view my forum and had Anhs upload the comic for me. A stressful job for both of us. For him because he'd have to come in, and for me when he's eventually 2 hours late. Ah, but thanks to him, no "real" mess-ups with the update schedule, so I do appreciate it in the long run.=P

Anyway, wow. It was near three weeks where I was unable to get on my own site. Quite an odd change there. So, many of you...uh...some of you are probably wondering what I've been up to lately. Well, a few things...

First off...

I got my main character on World of Warcraft, a Troll Hunter named Falcio, to Lv. 40. For those unfamiliar with what that means, it means I'm technically 16 in that world. I can now get a mount, or a ridable animal. The funds needed is hefty, so I'm saving right now, but I hope to get enough soon. I'm also of age where I can wear Mail...because Warriors are born with the ability, but we Hunters apparently aren't. It's an odd thing.
So, Lv. 40. Surprising that I got that far. Of course, the fact that I have a personal goal to defeat Metroid and thus reclaim my glorious position of "better than him" [I kid, Metroid.D=] helps, but I'm still surprised that the game got me that sucked in. If this is true for WoW, then I wonder how I'd fair with other MMOs. I've once tried City of Villains, because I had a trial, but I only got through a little bit of it, considering how my computer sucked back then. Now, I bet I could play both City of Heroes AND City of Villains. Always an idea.

Anyway, I'm really no reviewer and you would probably have to be insane to take my advice over Gamespot's or IGN's or 1up's or whatnot. Still, considering how much you actually end up doing in the end, I feel like the game is worth it if you're looking for a good MMO to try. And hey, if you actually do play WoW, drop me a line. We could have fun.=D

Anywho, enough talking about WoW. Another big thing that came out of my prolonged trip "away" was Super Mario Galaxy.

How do I feel about it? Well, I dunno. X3 put it best back in May: I'm having a "nerdgasm."

Yes, this game is, in fact, nerdgasmic. If I were to describe my feeling playing the first level, it would be hard. I almost shed a tear. And I feel sad for feeling that way over a game.

Nonetheless, my initial feeling right now is "This game is better than Super Mario 64 AND Sunshine combined." It just feels that way to me. If you have a Wii and you're not planning on getting this game, stop your breathing. No offense to ya, but seriously...this game is what I kept the Wii for. I bought it for Twilight Princess, but I kept it for this game. And I'll keep it longer when Brawl comes out. This is the game for anyone to buy. This is probably one of Mario's brightest moments, and you should enjoy it.=)

Anyway, I leave you guys with a comic message. I've been getting better with drawing lately [a shocker], but I've been getting worse with initial planning and other things coming up.
Anyway, I'm planning to move to a Monday-only schedule change. There are a few reasons for this change. First, I'm planning a side-story comic. This would update on my deviantART gallery initially, then will be put on the site when it's complete and when I'm in-between storylines.
What I'm trying to do there is "broaden my horizons" or something. I feel like drawing Bob-ombs and hedgehogs and foxes and misshapen Mario statues is a good skill to have, but it's not going to be helping me improve as fast as I would hope. So, I'm thinking that transferring to another subject that is not my own might help.
Also, I've agreed to help design a new website for my church, because apparently, God needs to blog and even He would find the first design to be atrocious. So, I'm helping out on that on the side.
Plus, it'll be my final project for Web Design, so I'm somewhat obligated to get that site done soon enough, eh?=P

So, the updates will slow. Luckily, I'm back on the site, so I can at least update some things at last.

How fun was my day. I wake up with an infection.

...no, not a skin one, but a computer one. A Trojan got into my computer somehow.

So, after hours upon hours of trying to get it off my computer (about 4-5 hours), I was able to get it off using Norton, apparently.

So, that was a fun way to spend a Thursday. Too bad I need to get to class tomorrow...I need to relax.=P

So, been gone a few days. Nothing too big. Got through a lot of Phantom Hourglass, so I'm happy enough. Linebeck is seriously awesome.

Also got a new book. I Am America (And So Can You) by Stephen Colbert. Hilarious stuff. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys his stuff.
Got it on sale, too...though that means I owe him. Curse it all. Or maybe I should be happy for it. It's hard to say with him.

I realized how much I really want a bookstore in this town. It would be so great to just go by every once in a while and get books. Plus, it'd be a great place for me to work. I love books. Easy way to spend time working at a bookstore? Why, read, of course.
...oh, wow, I might owe Stephen more than I thought for making that remark. I gotta learn to shut my mouth.

Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to get a comic done for Friday. Gonna try a new technique; instead of drawing the backgrounds and characters separate, I'll draw them both in a single panel. That might actually help me plan more.

On a side note, my computer seems to be working now, so keep checking...I might have the Fanart section up and running soon.

I'm pretty tired now. Why? I just spent a lot of time updating the site! I hope you people are actually looking at the front page and all >_>

Anyways, a lot of stuff has been changed, so this is the first major site revamp since we've started, so that's pretty cool.

If you may or may not have noticed, we're running phpBB 3.0 RC5 now on our forums so that's been updated too. Overall, a lot of changes over the last few days.

I want to mention a few new features of the site as well that may need a brief explanation. First we have a new section called "Now Plugging" and this is where we will put anything we find interesting and link to it. We might have little things there now and again that you might find interesting.

Now I know I haven't been posting much on the main site (after all, it is Falcon's site :P), but I have been posting on the forums. Whether or not you care is entirely up to you. However instead of writing up lengthy posts here for you to not read, I instead will place it in the section called "Site Updates" under the "Now Plugging" for all of you who don't care.

A lot of little details have been made and changes in scripting and all you won't care about won't be listed here as I don't intend to waste your time all that much. However, you'll probably notice that the banner is very big, very noticeable, and very nice. You see? Falcon made it and his work is the most noticed while my work will be noticed later for anyone who cares. If any at all.

That banner has some interesting features. It might not be the same all the time. I'm letting you figure that out.

Try and visit this page more okay? Not that you'd care at all. Or do you?

Like Sand Through an Hourglass by Falcon6

Taking away my time from Final Fantasy VII, Halo 3, World of Warcraft and continuing to NOT play Metal Gear Solid yet...I bought The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

I haven't really had much playtime with the DS for a while. Like...since Phoenix Wright, really. So it's refreshing to get a new DS game. It was either this or Trials and Tribulations. Luckily, I got PH through sold games, so I can still get Trials and Tribulations when it comes out. It should be enjoyable, as a red-eye-goggle-thing-wearing prosecutor is always fun stuff.

But back to Phantom Hourglass...most people were worried that the full-on touch screen controls would be frustrating for a Zelda game, but as usual, Nintendo was able to utilize it perfectly.

Best of the best? Definitely. Phantom Hourglass is one of the best DS games out now. I'm enjoying it a lot. I suppose that's because of my love of The Wind Waker. Seeing Link in his "Celda" style again, moments after WW's storyline was complete is a great experience to go through again. Also, seeing new characters that I'm sure I'll start to enjoy more often, like Link's boating companion/treasure hunter Linebeck. Anyway, the uses for the touch screen are very nice, from taking notes on the map to throwing the boomerang and simply moving around. All of them are very well-done and easy to use.

Anyway, if you're wondering on if you should get it or not, you definitely should. I mean, come on...it's Zelda. That alone should make this a must-buy.
If this is how the DS Zelda can be, I wonder how well-done the Wii-only Zelda will be later on. Here's hoping for something amazing!

The Way the World Ends by Falcon6

Alright, everyone who knows me knows that I suck at Halo 2. It's been commented repeatedly by many jerkfaces out there and all.D= Thus, I wasn't very much expecting me to enjoy much of Halo 3. I gotta say, I'm fairly impressed with it.

Halo 3 is good. That much is apparent. Even the Campaign mode is good to me, even though I never played all the way through Halo 2's Campaign mode. I might now, though...pretty good.

But let's face it, Halo's online mode is the real attraction to a majority of the people. Though I've mostly played Team Slayer, it's still been pretty fun. I'm hoping to play through some other modes.

If anyone's interested in playing against me, just add me.

Gonna go out and get Halo 3 tonight. I wonder how big the preorder line will be.

I assure you, though, I am not hardcore enough to stay for hours or days for the game. I enjoyed Halo 2, but I doubt I'd wait in line for hours on end for it. I've already done it for the Wii and it's not as fun as you'd think.
I can't wait to see how Halo's line is going to be at Gamestop tonight. Heh.

I don't even know if I'll be able to play much of it for the first week or so. Much of my time is being spent on World of Warcraft.
Oh, I don't know if you care, but I'm at Lv. 19 now.

I'm actually getting the hang of it, which scares me silly. It's bad enough to get addicted to a game, but getting addicted to a game you're good at? Not gonna be pretty.

Repeatingly-Problematic Gamer by Falcon6

And so, we begin the Falcon story that I, personally, find my best.

The villain? His name is Gameck. He was made even before I gave myself a sprite, way back in 2004. His original premise was to be a "gamer gone wrong." A video game fan with a taste for the villainy stuff and all that.

He was really my first true villain as a "hero." Back then, I had random RPs with people and the only real villain back then for me was Mr. X5, who hasn't been revealed as of yet comic-wise. Also had random villains like a metal version of me [blame X6] and the Elemental Bros, whom might actually see the light of day in the comic.

However, when someone asks me who the Villain is to my Hero, I can honestly say Gameck will always be the one who fits. His backstory is somewhat parallel of my own and he has always been the one who has always given me a true fight.

Falcon Boy, Copycat, and the Perche sagas were all thought-up on the spot, actually. That might be why they can be considered somewhat bad. At least, that's how I can sometimes see them in my overreacting, judging eyes. However, this particular saga has been at work for 3 years. You can bet that this will be one of my best ones yet.

I can tell you right now, I envy professional comic-makers. Their ability to create, panel to panel, backgrounds, emotions, faces, poses, and all that; it really makes me sad how truly pathetic I can be when it comes to this stuff.

This is a little fun fact for you guys. I only started drawing continuously for about 2 years now. Beforehand, I could've cared less because my art in art class was always crap B-graded art [the whole grade system for art is odd to me, but...eh.] and I always had to create stuff that I personally could care less about. One year, I made an assortment of a billiard rack and three billiard balls inside of it. I could understand practicing the whole perspective thing now, but back then, it just didn't feel right. To be perfectly honest, I found art interesting back in the day because I wanted to make video game art like what I've seen in Mario, Sonic, and the like.

Now, I'm drawing at an odd speed. It's like I already know I suck big-time at it, and yet, I keep going and I am, surprisingly, getting better at it. I'm actually getting a little more confident with my drawings. And even more confident with my Photoshop abilities.

And yet, I see F@NB0Y$ and VG Cats and that little bit of confidence for Photoshop goes alllll the way down. Same goes for when I read MegaTokyo and Penny Arcade for drawing; alllll the way down. I dunno, maybe I should stop worrying about how I draw compared to them.
Of course, considering how I have been influenced many times by the webcomics I read and the tutorials I look at, I suppose I can't blame myself for trying to measure myself to their quality.

I guess their success in what they do is pretty much like how my little rivalry with Metroid in World of Warcraft is going. He's Level 70, a level that is unreachable to me, [at least, for the moment. No Burning Crusade] while I was a lowly Level 7. We dueled and he took me down in a single hit. As expected. Now, I'm Level 17. I suppose I'm getting there. I still suck and I still end up getting killed in a few seconds while going into an Instance [dungeon] by myself, sure, but Kartharan could easily destroy both me and my pet boar with one shot. Possibly all at once, even. I suppose that little competition with Metroid has given me a little bit of love for the game.

Maybe that's how I started to really enjoy drawing again. Maybe the whole "trying to get up to the same level as the masters" thing is making me want to do the thing better. Looking back on sketches from early Sophomore year compared to now, I can really see the improvements. And my Photoshop skills have slightly increased.
So thank you, Internet. You've succeeded in helping me become better than what I was with my career choice, my art and my life. Awesome work.
Now, can we do something about all these cats? Or even just one?

You probably don't know this, but I'm somewhat of a remix nut. A majority of my iTunes album is filled with remixes of different songs. Many of them are video game remixes, too. It's kinda cool to hear the tunes I've enjoyed over the years be given a different sound from different artists.

Anyway, I was checking OC Remix today and saw that they have a new project album out. Final Fantasy VII: Voices of the Lifestream. Only listened to a few tracks before starting the torrent, but I definitely like it so far.

A Whole New World by Falcon6

...a dazzling place I never knew

So, I mentioned it briefly last week, but I recently got a trial for World of Warcraft. The game has always intrigued me, but I never got it due to the source of income needed and the fact that my parents would've never have let me use their credit cards for such a price.
Now, however, I am 19 years old, almost close to getting that job, and with a tidy sum of money for future use. Why, how else do you explain Bioshock, Halo 3, a new RAM card, and the server switch all in a few weeks? Combined, that's over $200 right there.

Some would say to spend it on something useful, but what could be more useful than finding out what the denizens of Rapture are doing with warthogs supped up for speed and with minimal crash times? Not a lot, I assure you.

But back to the Warcraft note. Before I got the trial installed, the "forumites" decided on servers for everyone to play on. After getting the trial installed, [about 10 hours worth.] I put an Orc Warrior on our Horde server, Cho'gall. It was then I noticed that the Warrior wasn't really my thing. So, I looked into it and found that a Hunter might suit me well. So, I decided to play as a Troll in the Scilla server. That was where I met our friendly Metroid's character, Kartharan; the Tauren Druid.

Metroid was actually the reason why I got the trial in the first place. He saw how I wanted to actually try my hand in the game and decided to give me one of his trial keys. He had trouble with it, so I dunno if he'll actually get a free month, but I do appreciate him helping me out. You know, despite my getting ticked-off over the fact that I didn't have enough RAM to support the game and all, he was always around to help me out. Thanks, bud.

But honestly, Kartharan had a cool aura. It's probably my newb talking, but I really thought he looked cool the way he looked. So, I decided to make this comic using his character. That was a difficult challenge. I traced an in-game screenshot using the Pen Tool and started experimenting with colors and the like. He came out so well, I think I'll post him un-Falcio'd on my deviantART page. Look for that.=P

Anyway, Warcraft was really all I thought it would be and more. I once thought Oblivion was addicting, but WOW...seriously, WoW. It's definitely more addicting. The last time I got this into a game was Final Fantasy XII. So far, I'm at Lv. 11 in Scilla and the game has gotten a tad easier on me now that I have a pet to help in my hunts. He's a boar, by the way. I named him Goresy.
...and I regret it now that I realize I can't rename him again.XD

This game is really only a really good game once you actually get quests and groups to help you in those quests. I've gotten into some hitches on some quests before I got my pet, but that's before I really realized how bad Hunters are with Melee attacks. Now that I have a pet, I can just send him in and start shooting arrows rapidly. Fun times.

If not for the price of online and stuff, this game would be a must-buy in my opinion. Honestly, the price of online could hinder some people on the buyability, but in all honesty, I think it'll be worth it. I recently got the full game on my desk right now and still have a few days to go on my 10-day trial. After that, I put in the key and I get one free month of unhindered access. Then, it's all about pre-paid cards, baby.

So, on unrelated-to-Warcraft news, I'm planning for the new storyline to start in a few comics. It's been a while since my little "prologue" came up, so I think it's time to start the full story.

I'm also still trying to juggle my practice and my website upgrade together. I'd predict the site revamp would be during the first part of the storyline. If not then, then near the beginning of the second part. It really depends on how long, exactly, the storyline's parts will be. I have no real estimate at the moment, so I'll just predict around the end of the first part. Let's see if that holds up right.

Sorry the newspost got a little crowded with Warcraft nonsense. Just wanted to tell my impressions.

Two celebrations by Falcon6

Spartans, bandwidth, 360s, Fantasies, and green tunics...welcome to the Legend of Falcon.

You won't get the last one until later. Foreshadowing and whatnot.

So, I've hit a milestone. Today, I have reached 300 comics. Such a big number, isn't it? Who would've thought I could bring it this far? I mean, maybe if I were still doing sprites, I would be at near 350 right now, but it's still great to know that the last 30 comics have been drawn. You can definitely already see improvements in what I'm doing.

And now near 300 comics are around. A bulk of them aren't understandable unless you've been in NSider and the lot of them are still high-quality sprite comics. [still sprite comics, so you can't get much out of that] Still, 300 comics under my belt is a good thing to have, no matter what they actually are. That's my personal standpoint, at least.

I mean, I can't really go to a job and say "Oh, I've made 270 sprite comics for fun, so I deserve this job," but at least I have a better chance now by saying "Oh, I've made 300 comics through Photoshop. Most are drawn."

This comic was a real pain in the butt to work with. For one thing, I had to draw fairly better than I have before. All the poses were worked and reworked, with additional smiles and eyes and looks and all that jazz. This comic really brought some details to my attention that I need to work better with. For one thing, the mouths I make are in dire need of some reworking. Seeing as how I am basically using a Sonic style here, I chose to use Sonic mouths. I think Falcon looks better with that mouth. Much better than my old ones. Another detail that made this comic a pain was the fact that Photoshop continually kicked out on me again and again while I was working. On one instance, I saved beforehand, but the second time, I didn't save everything, so I got stuck having to redo some coloring. [big whoop, it's flat coloring anyway.=P] Third time, however, lost me a panel. You can probably see the difference in the 3rd and 5th panels.

Yeah, so that was a real pain. I think I am in need of a better Photoshop. Seeing as how I have the money tucked away, I suppose I could get a new copy of CS from Amazon. I could also try and uninstall, then reinstall Photoshop and see if that helps. Of course, that'd mean I have to make sure my brushes are all backed-up.

Ah, well. I'm sure I'll get that fixed soon enough.

Oh, a new thing came in for us today. You might have noticed some downtime for the morning to early-evening. That was because, late last night, Mr. Anhs and I were transferring hosts. Everyone who reads the forum or newspost knows the problems we've had with our old host beforehand. Bandwidth going away too quickly and no extra bandwidth even though we actually paid it; that sorta thing. Luckily, we got ourselves the new host. It promises double the bandwidth, double the disk space and better service.

We'll see how the first month goes [month after this one, though...we got an unfair advantage by sapping the old bandwidth for 7 days.=P] before we consider new arrangements, like more bandwidth and such. However, both Anhs and I agree that double the bandwidth should be more than enough for the time being. If we do get a problem, I'll be sure to get paying more.

The next comic will probably be Friday. This comic got me pretty drained, so I gotta use the next few days to practice stuff. This has nothing to do with a venture to World of Warcraft at all, I promise.

The bandwidth issue has been brought up millions of times before. We've had wars over it, even. Two, in fact. When you have two wars that all end in a few months, you know something's bad.
A month or so ago, I bought an extra 10 GBs of bandwidth in hopes that it'll tide my issues over. Paid it in full and had the bandwidth issue again...sooner than normal, even.

Now, either my site got a buttload of more views afterwards, or the transaction was messed up. I looked and saw they received it, but no help with bandwidth. I send them an email about it, but with no response. So, I have basically been sitting here with an uneasy feeling of being screwed over by that host. Thus, my decision to switch hosts has come.

Expect downtime sometime this week.

I hope to get the next comic up by Friday. Prepare for the predictable.

So, I got a few things lately. Thought I'd share them with you.

Metroid Prime 3 Corruption: Great game. A good end to a great sub-series of a great series. However, don't expect to go in and get a challenge unless you go for the hardest difficulty. Haven't died once, though I have gotten close in a few different battles. Despite that, the game is fun. For those wanting a killer app for the Wii and weren't wanting Super Paper Mario or Twilight Princess, then Samus Aran is here for you.

Bioshock: How impressive can a game about an underwater city gone mad be? Very, in fact. The game has a great and eerie environment, and the graphics are so wonderful. You gotta utilize your Plasmids [genetic shots that give you powers, like electric bolts or telekinesis] and your weapons while fighting the crazed denizens of Rapture.
Oh, and seeing as how the question has been asked a lot; yes, I save the Little Sisters. I can't bring myself to do something like that to a little girl, even if I get more power. It does show the moral code of a person through the game. A cool thing to have.
Oh, and I was lucky enough to get the Limited Edition copy. So, I got a free Big Daddy figurine. It's broken, of course, so I gotta get it replaced. I don't really care, as I get a free artbook through it.:)

I also want to find as many Final Fantasy games as I possibly can. As some of you know, I got Final Fantasy XII for Christmas [as did X3, but illegally.] and it was my first real experience with Final Fantasy. My first game, at least. I once played FF VII at my babysitter's house, though.
So, I'm planning on trying to find copies of each game. Can anyone contact me on some possible places to buy new copies of the games? Wrapped and all that. I don't even care if it's a Greatest Hits copy, either.

However, refrain from eBay. Other sites first, if you please. Thanks.

Hitting the Books by Falcon6

My college days are starting on Monday. 4 classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; and 2 classes on Tuesday and Thursday. All centered around computers except for 2.

As if I didn't already know I was a nerd.

Tomorrow, I'll be getting my books...which should be...I dunno, fun.

So, the impact of what the college daze will do to me will probably hinder my ability to create a coherent comic for next week...so I'm just going to take the week off. Get situated and such.

I recently got Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition for a cheap price. The experience I had with the PS2 probably hindered my ability to play this one for only a small time, but once I got into it, I really got better with the Wiimote aiming. Having all the Resident Evil 4 stuff in one gaming package [graphics and extras] is nice.
I'm going through it the second time around and the experience got from challenging to a little more of goofing off. The walk through the village at the beginning was so much quicker with a supped-up Red9. And the Striker all upgraded? Awesome.
And right now, I'm saving up to get the Infinite Rocket Launcher...which should be noice. Other than that, I got all my main weapons [Red9, Striker, Rifle (semi-auto), and Broken Butterfly] upgraded and with the extra attachments [power to Red9, 100 shotgun shells for Striker, faster shots for the Rifle, and the huge power from the Broken Butterfly (FYI, taking down troublesome enemies like El Gigantes and "it" with only a few shots is a special kind of awesome that can't really be described.
Honestly, if you haven't played RE4 yet [2 ports already...] and want to try it out, get the Wii version. Only $30 and it is the best one by far.

Another game I got recently is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. As people already know, I've gotten Justice for All a few months back and loved it dearly. I never thought I'd find a copy around here, but as luck would have it, the new Gamestop in town decided to give us a few used copies. Awesome. So I got it.
Great game. Great characters, good cases that have you figuring things out as you go on and a good sense of depth in the attorneys and prosecutors. I can't wait to see the new one come out in the Fall. You can bet that's a game I'll be getting.

Other than that, nothing much is happening in the world of me. I'll be turning 19 this week and you can probably see how happy I am to start school the same week I have a birthday still...absolutely ecstatic.

Also, if anyone happens to have really good sources for Bleach episodes, I'd like to find out where to catch myself up...being in the middle of the Bount arc is harsh...and I know people say you can just skip to the recent episodes, but still...getting into the middle of an arc and Youtube failing you...sucks.

Obliviation by Falcon6

So, here's an Oblivion comic. Took a lot of work to do this comic.
Humorously enough, I kept getting behind on the work in this comic because I suck myself into Oblivion a lot.

A little bit of a story behind the comic. There is a part where you have to help soldiers fight off the Daedra who has taken over and destroyed a town called Kvatch. The captain wants you to go into the castle, fend off the scamps [little elfs that are a pain in the butt], and get to the count of the castle. You find him to be dead and you have to grab a ring off of his person and go back.
I took more. I took his Black and Burgundy Outfit [I think that's the name of it] and left him stripped of clothing. [down to his underwear...don't worry. This used to be T, after all] I put it on and ran back to the captain. He went on about his desperation that the count is dead, thanked me, and the quest was complete.
So, I thought about it and thought "Hey...I just came back wearing the Count's clothes and they aren't going to ask me about it? How odd.

But hey, that's probably me looking too much into it.

If you don't get it, I apologize...but dang, you should get Oblivion and figure it out yourself...seriously, it's a good game and you wouldn't regret it.

I'm starting college in a few weeks. Heck, I think I only have one more week free. It's odd that the summer flew by, but I'm glad it did. I've stated repeatedly that summer is my least favorite of the seasons. I rather enjoy the cold more than the blistering heat. However, even I can't handle the cold all the time...

Thus, why I enjoy Fall moreso than the other seasons. You get to see nature's blessings full on. A cool thing to see. Also something you tend to regret not enjoying fully.
This Fall, I'm going to start trying to enjoy it more. Just go out and walk through the park, listening to the leaves rustle through the air. It's something I hope to enjoy more.

But hey, this is not what I started talking about...college. My last week of summer will go by next week and I will have a college schedule. The interesting thing is, I never really noticed how much of a nerd road I'm going...Web Page Design, Intro to Computer Concepts, Computer Programming...History of American Technology?! Wow, I never really noticed how much of a nerd I really am.

This coming from a guy who has a Sonic character as his main character. Bleh.

Happily, I have classes mixed between different days...something I'm looking forward to having in college. Not having to worry about class for a day is good. However, I just know that the work needed to go forward in the class will be double because of it...nonetheless, I'm all for a good challenge. I took Spanish, so you know.

...and failed Spanish, but whatcha gonna do?

I just hope I can still have time to do what I love to do...draw, play games, and just hang out...

Speaking of which, I probably won't be able to draw as much, play games as much, or just hang out as much. Why?
Job. Yes, a JOB. J-O-B.
I've gotten to 18 years without one, simply because I fend for myself by doing chores around the house and scrounging for the food that falls onto my plate.
But soon enough, I'll not be able to fend for myself with just chores or putting my plate at an Applebee's table and telling the waitress to put the food there. Plus, I need a Macbook.

And so, I'm at my wit's end about it...and I'll have to get a job soon enough. I actually tried a few times already. At a local rental shop, Wal-Mart, Gamestop, and an office store. Unfortunately, they never really got back to me...
So, I'll have to keep trying, though...maybe Kohl's...>_>'

Organized Oblivion by Falcon6

I got my vampire cure in Oblivion today. That's good...people were starting to hate on me.

The vampire race is not one of evil blood-sucking...in fact, I could have been a really nice blood sucker...I'd just come up to people and say "Hey...guy. Would it be okay if I sucked your blood? I'll give you gold...and stuff."

In any case, I'm glad I got that over with...now I can go back to killing people with my staff of powerful lightning power and going up to my tower of powerfully powerful magics.

In other news, I took someone's advice and downloaded a demo of Dynasty Warriors Gundam. This is actually my first foray into robot combat of that sort...and really, Gundam in general. It's actually a pretty cool game. It's definitely something I'm considering picking up someday. The only problem is the dates. It's coming out August 28th. Unfortunately, something else is coming out around that time, as well. Obviously, I'd go with Metroid, but it's still hard to want to get into a game like that and end up not being able to get it. Bleh.

Also, I'm considering asking for a PSP for my birthday this month. Besides Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II, what else do you think I should get?

And for a last note, I was able to catch The Simpsons Movie last Friday. It's a great movie and I'd recommend it to anyone who's ever enjoyed The Simpsons before. Because of the movie, I was compelled to get the fifth season on DVD. I might also get another season later on, too.
But yeah, the movie was great. Keep it in mind if you need a movie to watch soon and haven't watched it yet.=P

Hello there, person-reading-this. Whaaat's happening?

Yes, this is a different sort of comic...slightly-filler, but still comic in a way. I was going to post it as a filler, but it ended up so nice, I decided to make it a comic. It'll also end up in a small art gallery I thought about making in the next site update.

Oh, and before you guys ask...yes, I have considered stabbing my hand repeatedly with a sharpened pencil. But I usually stop myself and just go play my 360.

Speaking of which...a lot of 360 stuff lately in my life.=P

A few days ago, my friend got himself a 360 Core. This was because he has a discount at Wal-mart and they were out of Premium consoles...so he got a Core at Wal-mart and a used hard drive at Gamestop. Lot of running around.>_>'
He has a certain distaste of Microsoft itself...but he enjoys the games nonetheless.

As for me, I'm still very, very addicted to Oblivion...a guy with a running website should not get into such a game...but I did. Ah, well...shut up, I love it.=P

However, one thing I've been enjoying a lot about the 360 is the Xbox Live Arcade. The Arcade has many hours worth of enjoyment...=) I want to get Galaxy Wars and see what all the fuss is about...but instead of getting that, I got a game that I've been looking into lately: Bomberman Live.

Now, as some of you may know, I am a real Bomberman nut. It's a sweet puzzle game...I do enjoy it.=) And Bomberman Live is definitely a great game. If you guys are looking for a good game to download first-hand, I think you should do that.

Also, playing it on Xbox Live is awesome.=P

Alright, first off, I gotta say this...I am seriously losing my edge. I've started the drawn comics with an edge and have gotten better...but the edge is starting to become dull. I really need help with some stuff.

If anyone's interested in helping a lad out...

Basically, what I need is some sort of tutorial..anything that covers all or one of the following things:

-Backgrounds [preferably backgrounds concerning city streets and such]
-Hands [simply put...everyone knows my hands kinda suck, so I am in desperate need of some hand tutorials. Any will do. {yes, I've tried copying my own hands...it doesn't really end well}]
-Perspective [any sort of a refresher course will do me good, I'm sure]
-Poses [again, refresher course...my poses have been getting better as I go along, but nothing's better than a tutorial to practice]
-Female Anatomy [a side note of poses...just something that can help me with the different features of the female body...I really hope this ends well.>_>]
-Anything else you guys think I might need to improve in.

If anyone has one, I'd be very appreciated if you can email me a link.

We go from one thing that's wrong about me to another...my teeth.

Tomorrow [Friday...the 13th.X_X] I will have my left side wisdom teeth taken out. I already had my right side done last summer and I guess there's some sort of discount if you go again...I don't know.

I've already gone through the procedure before, so I know what'll be going on down the road: Pain, and lots of it. So, I'll probably be incapacitated for the next few days. If I am able to get myself out of my medicated self, I might have a comic ready on Monday concerning E3...but chances are it won't even be very well-made, so...I don't even know if I should bother.XD

In any case, the use of the IV on my arm will make the pain go away for the actual procedure...still, it'll be a slow and painful day on Friday.

Oh, and the meds...uuuuugh...I freakin' hate the antibiotics the dentist makes you take...I can remember clearly just how much I enjoyed it. X_X

Ah, well...no use in complaining about it...better than having to live with the pain I have right now, what with the pushing of teeth and such. Especially since I should have gotten this done long ago...hope this doesn't end up biting me in the butt later on...

...har, puns.

Oh, yes...returning character.

Because at F6 Comics, we're all about plot devices in the form of characters.

Miss Kifyra joins as a guest.

Now, many people might see this and say "Uh oh...a female lead for the male lead. I knew this would happen!" and I'm almost certain the forumnites are just planning the slash threads in the Spam Board right now.

In any case...this isn't going to be a sudden pairing like I've done in the past. Heck, I don't even know if they'll get together in the end. After all, Falcon and Kifyra have met in the past and have been an item before and now, Falcon's surprised she's even shown up.

And so, I leave you with this part of the story until next Friday.

Recently, as some have noted, I was able to get a DS Lite. When I first saw it, I thought "Hey, I got the SP after the first GBA and had to get the DS afterwards...I'm not falling for that again!"
Of course, I'm always wrong, eh? So, I got the DS Lite last week in order to prepare for a pilgrimage to a water park a few hours away with my friends. I must say, playing this system has given me newfound respect for the DS system. It's gotten to a point where all that needs to be done is improve the quality of the system and it'll almost instantly be better. I can't even look at the DS "Phat" in the same way again..X_X

I also recently got Elite Beat Agents with the system. If not for Phoenix Wright, I'd say this was the best game I've played thus far. I'm a sucker for storyline games, apparently.

Just today, I went out to Wal-mart with a purpose. I came home with a huge amount of awesome. Yes, I have gotten The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for the 360.
Seriously, it's an amazing game so far. I have really enjoyed it. The only thing I'm having problems with is that it's hard to get used to. I've made mistakes so far and think "Was...did I do something that I shouldn't have done? o_o'" more often than I have in any other game.
Being a newb at such a title, I was a little overwhelmed. However, I will get used to the game soon enough, I assure you.=P

I should also mention something about the latest comic before I leave you readers be...my syle.
My knowledge of the female anatomy is kinda...bleh. I'll admit this right here. Not just in general, but also in Sonic. I have only really drawn an Amy-esque character about two times before this. Seeing as how I never really practiced on them, the drawings seen here are my first attempt and, thus, suck badly. This is to be expected, I know...but do not worry. Seeing as how she's a recurring character, I'll definitely be able to get better. I intend to.

State of the Website - Ouendan!!!!! by Falcon6

Well, here we are with another State of the Website. After yet another return to Falcon6.net, everyone seems to have gotten used to the bandwidth issues...luckily, we won't have any problems with the extra bandwidth added this month.

However, I've noticed a slight drag...something that has become apparent to me and other people.

My message board has become the most popular thing on the site. More than my comics. My friends, I will not ALLOW it!

Well, sure, I spend more time there myself, but come on! This is just...sad.=(

So, I decided to initiate a site redesign. A few things are going to be changing here soon. First off is the look of the newsposts. I've grown to be sickened at times by the newsposts I have now, so I've made a completely different layout.

The design is still under works, so I won't show it just yet, but here's what you can be expecting.

1. New icons - These will be finalized icons that will be kept for each newspost creator, which is pretty much myself, Anhscruzader and X3. They will be fashioned for this single purpose and should look nice when I have it finalized.

2. Now Plugging - This is an idea I'm working on that should work well if both Anhs and myself cooperate on making it nice. [those who saw the final battle in the Bandwidth Bunker should know how that'll work out...] Every single day, I end up seeing really great stuff from different people on MSN, NSider, the forums, and other sites. Youtube videos, gaming news, and such. The purpose of "Now Plugging" is to link other people to these awesome things. It could be an awesome Flash video, it could be the latest thing in Smash Bros. Brawl news, or it could simply be something worth seeing and sharing.
The "Now Plugging" area would be on the side of the newspost area and would update along with the comic. Would this mean every link would remain on the older newsposts as I continue onward with new links, I cannot say. Again, this is still a work in progress. Nonetheless, the ideas I'm getting about it are pretty neat so far.

3. Bannerific - Oh, yes...time to change that god-awful banner yet again. This time, for good.
I already have the art in the works. And I have a good idea set in my mind, but it would most likely take a bit of time to get done. However, it should look awesome.
One thing I am fretting about, however, is the logo. I really need to change from that one I have now to something a little more...I dunno, professional.

4. Emails - Yes, we have them...and yes, we'll use them.X_X

5. Organization! - I'm planning to get rid of a few pages and combining others. For example, About and Character Profiles are most likely going to be combined [with About being very shortened, of course], and getting rid of the Dedication page. Most, if not all, of the sprites I get are from The Spriter's Resource and TSGK, so we'll start a "Links" page and plug them there. People will probably get the gist of what I mean from there.
Organization also means new designs for the different pages, which should mean a better page for everything.

Other than those points, do you think there should be another thing added or taken away? Voice your opinion at the forum you all apparently love...=P

Oh, and don't think this will be an automatic change. There will be a lot of work put into this, so...we'll have to concentrate.=P

For those who don't know about this, you should check the Smash Bros. blog more.

It's become a tradition in the forum to post quotes from the blog concerning each thing. Surprisingly enough, it creates some hilarious results.

But the blog, in my opinion, was a cool idea. It gives you Brawl updates every weekday. Some are hits and some are misses, but it's definitely the best place to go to find huge updates.

And for those who are wanting an update bigger than a few small items or music files, there is always E3. This is the month of E3, of course, and in 12 days, Nintendo will have their press conference. If Brawl isn't the big thing this year, I really wonder what will be.

Well, the comic will probably be able to get up on Friday, but if it doesn't, we'll have next Monday to be sure. And it'll be on this site, too, so it'll be great.=D

Back in Business...again... by Falcon6

After our THIRD experience with bandwidth issues, I feel safe to say this will most likely be our last. As some of you know, I bought extra bandwidth in the middle of June. Seeing as how the bandwidth still ran out soon after, [adding onto that my known level of popularity {i.e., very low}] I believe the reason was that the bandwidth addition would not be added until the next month, which is the month we're in now.

...whoopsie...^_^'

But we're back, thankfully. The comic that wasn't uploaded due to the problem is now uploaded and I'll have a Monday comic to fill up tomorrow. After that, making a Friday update will only be possible if I start the inking tomorrow. If I don't make a Friday update, then you'll see the comic on next Monday to be sure.

This whole mess with the site has brought some things to my attention. Things that I've discussed with our friendly, neighborhood webmaster, Anhsanity. Things that I'll probably have to go over for Monday's post.

Until then, it's great to be back. Hope you guys enjoyed our little adventures in the Bandwidth Bunker. Seeing as how that area is now a nuclear wasteland, I'd say we won't be going back for a long time. Hooray!

Difficulties by Falcon6

Wow...this comic took WAY longer than it should have.

I don't know what the problem was for this comic...it was either I lost my muse and dedication for a bit...or another reason.

Speaking of distractions, I got Dead or Alive 4 the other day. I haven't really played it as much as I'd like, but I have played it for a bit. It's a good game, even though this style of fighting isn't my bag.

Or maybe it is...I went to a friend's house the other day and played Soul Caliber II. He's apparently pretty dang good at it and this was my first time playing it...I beat him pretty badly, I thought.

Maybe he's not as good as he's stated...
But I'd rather enjoy the side of the story that makes it look like I'm some gaming god.

Already, I'm working on the next comic...and it's already gotten me in a bind...dang.

I need some sort of way to get my muse back, though. Too bad I decided to start the storyline this comic...I can't stop now!=P

Now a spaz... by Falcon6

...why is it that the comics I make about Kirby seem, to me, like my best ones? Odd...odd indeed.

So, I got Kirby's Adventure for the Virtual Console. This is my first time playing the game, too.
Kirby's such a cute, little ball of bubble gum...it's somewhat amazing that he can swallow all of these enemies and eating them...you would think he would get sick.

This is in no way associated with my other comic in which Kirby is sticking his hand down his throat, so don't mention that.=P

And yes, I'm aware that King Dedede isn't the [i]real[/i] villain in KA...I just found it funny to see him running like that.=P

Oh, I should mention a change to my schedule...the updates will happen once a week, I will assure you of that. However, I might become a bit more spastic. Maybe one week, I'll have an update on Monday...maybe one week, I'll have an update on Friday...maybe I'll even have both for a splendid week of comic fun...
The thing is, the way I'm going now, I'm gonna have to concentrate a bit of energy to the comics...and drawing a lot. [note: I drew Kirby about 8 individual times in the comic.] That, coupled with the lineart and the coloring, with backgrounds...it'll probably become a bit more...hard to keep going on a schedule.

Note that I'm doing this all as, basically, a novice. So I don't even think I'd be able to do it very fast. Plus, if I have to get that job...you see my problem here.

Sooo...yeah. If need be, I'll inform people through the forum about any delays in the comic....I'd like to utilize one of those progress bar systems, but that would most likely be when I do the next website design change..which probably won't be for a while.

I'll try to maintain my "comic-a-week" schedule...but if I don't, I'll try to put up filler as fast as I can. I hope this measure would [i]hopefully[/i] increase comic quality, but...with me drawing and coloring, I highly doubt there'll be a huge change in it.

*X3* You can't tell right now, but he's whimpering.

Anyway...in other news, I finally got myself an Xbox 360...

Yes...I've been fooling you. I didn't get one in 2005. Now, I do. And it's awesome.

Here's my card. As you can see, I'm still short some games...I need to get another, since I did beat Dead Rising.

Dead Rising, by the way, is pretty good.

Now that I beat it, I can finally start playing the game I really bought the system for: Halo 2. Of course, I suck at it...that's to be expected.=P

Oh, and we're back after another bandwidth issue...hopefully, we can buy some more...though I must say that I'm a little lost as to how to buy the extra bandwidth.
Ah, well...I'll hopefully get it working soon enough.

No more high school!!! by Falcon6

BOOM, BABY!!!

All done. I'm glad, too. And sad, as well.

I look through the past four years in high school and thought about how much I've changed, from a small, fearful boy to a tall, braver man. I don't know how this happened...I think it was when I decided to stop caring so much about what people were going to say about me afterwards.

Or maybe it was because of my teachers or classmates. I don't know, but I hope to thank whoever really did so.

As I graduate on Friday, a feeling of self-fulfillment and self-depreciation will no doubt cover me like the robes we must wear. I have changed so much in the past few years...and I even won something for once in my life. However, I can't stop thinking about how there's always someone who's done better than I have at this or that. Heck, even Web Design had someone better than I was.

Then, it really did hit me. What we should judge ourselves on is not on what others do and what we can't or won't do. Moreso, it's the fact that our lives are dependent on competition and the race to be better than someone that can make or break you with this tension. You try hard to get away from the fact that there's someone better than you, but it'll never work out. That's because their presence will always be there when you're working on anything.

And that's not necessarily a bad thing, of course. Look at my relationship with my brother. He's the all-star football player and golf player. He has many trophies and is even winning one or two in college playing basketball. He's done a lot of stuff in his lifetime and he's grown better by it.

I'm always going to be in his shadow. This thing I am aware of. Instead of trying to push him away, I decided to do another tactic. I look to him for guidance in times of need. He's really a cool guy when you look at him in the right way.

Now, how can I be so cheerful of this when I know my brother's the one whose accomplishments haunt me? This is evident on the very fact that I will always try to do stuff as well as I can, so I can do things better than he can. This drive is helping me perform better and increasing my expectations.

And it's already helped me. I mean, I don't see my brother with a website...=P

So, I look back through my high school career and thought about it...and I think the most valuable lesson I've learned is that "You can't always get what you want; And if you try sometime you find, You get what you need." You can't always perform to the expectations that others have for other people. You don't see a weak geek being expected to win a football state championship [not often, anyway].
Instead, you should perform to the expectations that you have for yourself. Improve yourself for your own needs and you'll perform better for other's needs, as well.

That's my lesson to you. Also, seeing as how the majority of my audience is apparently still being school-taught, I hope you remember to enjoy your school years. It does go by pretty fast.

Been playing a bit of Pokémon Ruby for the Game Boy Advance. It's not Diamond or Pearl, but it'll have to do until I take the time needed to get it. I think all the talk of Pokémon got me a little needy for play, so I picked it up again. I'm making a team I hope will be well-made for the online battles in Diamond when I get it. I suppose I should get them all to Lv.100, which will be quite a chore. I think I've only gotten a Pokémon to Lv.100 less than 10 times. The legit way, in any case.

...hey, I don't have the time to level up every single day...what do I look like I'm playing...World of Warcraft?

I also got two games for the Virtual Console: Donkey Kong Country 2 and Kirby's Adventure. DKC2 is one of my favorite SNES games and plays pretty well still, and this is my first time playing Kirby's Adventure...and I'm enjoying it so far.

I also hear a rumor that Paper Mario is coming to Virtual Console soon. This will make me a happy bird.

I wish to get working on a comic as soon as I can. I just haven't been able to get good enough ideas.

I'll try to get another non-story comic in later so I can figure out where to go to next and all.

And yes, I know this was so rushed that I only did the inking. That's why this is more a filler comic than anything else.

This has always bothered me about Pokémon...you have one almost near death, NEEDING a doctor...and yet a trainer FORCES you to fight just because you have one still awake.

Eh...maybe that's just me.=P

So, this is in color.....against my wishes, I might add.

In any case, now, I should mention that this will cause me to stop doing a 2-day update a week...so, for the next week, I want to get ideas as to a good 1-day to update...out of the 7 days of the week.

No, don't say Tuesday and expect me to have one ready for tomorrow. =P

So I'm filling in for him right now and he's probably gonna post about how awesome the movie was or something and how we should see it or be tortured or something. Can't have that. Less people for me to torture.

For those of you living under a rock, in a jungle, on an island, who just happened to stumble onto the internet, Spiderman 3 came out today. As I'm typing this up, Falcon's enjoying himself watching this movie. And I'm not going to see it immediately.

Yeah.

In case you haven't noticed, I don't have much to write about, but it looks nice to have a long news post and stuff. Although, there's going to be another one almost guaranteed.

Might as well discuss it here because I wouldn't be surprised if there was an official thread popping up soon.

WE'RE BACK, BABY!!!

...I am much too enthused about this...but still...:P

We had a bandwidth issue the last few days...but seeing as how it's the first of the month, we have our bandwidth restored.
We're currently looking into possible solutions...but we hope to get it fixed sooner or later.

We hope the wait wasn't troubling you guys...but we're back and we hope to stay.

Currently, we're looking for solutions to this problem...and see if it was because the comics are actually getting popular or it was just an influx of the same users repeatedly looking at the comic over and over again.

If it's the former, we'll look into buying more bandwidth...if it's the latter...well, I'll unleash Anhsanity to everyone.

In any case...I'm tight on time, but I do hope to get the comic up on Friday...well, I'll have it done, but Anhs will be the one updating it...because I'm going to be going to someplace very speeeecial...>.>

Now, from what I've heard, it seems Falcon has a big month in May. He's graduating from high school...quite a feat from what I hear.
Hey, but what do I know? I was sent back 11 grades because Falcon didn't want me to bother him when taking his Pre-calc test.
If he wanted me to tell him what "e" was, I could easily have told him it was "Abraham Lincoln is the 2nd person in 7 years to eat dinner for $18.88." It's not that freakin' hard.

Ah, but Falcon isn't truly excited about May because of graduation...oh, no.

It is this month that he'll officially have a "geek-gasm".

What is a geek-gasm?
You sure you want to know?
The definition is not for the faint of heart.

...ah, to heck with it...

Urban Dictionary defines it as "A fit of intense geekly joy, happens when a geek runs into someone or something exceedingly geeky not seen every day, or when they get uber excited and riled up." You don't find it in Wikipedia because they suck.

So, why is Falcon having this fit of geek ecstasy? His geekstcy, if you will?

Why, his condition could be a number of things.

For one, a certain web-crawler is hitting the theaters once again. Spider-Man 3, which is out this Friday.
If you don't see it, then you just might be mental.
Even bootleggers should see it in theaters...because you won't get the full impact of the power the movie will have unless you go at Midnight with speakers all around.
Besides, if you think Venom will look good on a cell phone camera, you are probably mistaken.

Another is something all too common in this day and age: Piracy.
Yes, the adventure to bring Jack Spa....Captain Jack Sparrow back begins at the end of May.
Ironically, this is the very day Falcon is graduating. Will he be geeky enough to actually not get beneficial rest the night before?
Of course, he could always get shocking soap to wake him up for that day.

Another one could be Shrek 3, but...I doubt it.

So, we have a few really big things happening. He has to crawl on walls, swash-buckle, be onions, graduate, participate in contests...while still maintaining a website.

It almost makes you want to respect the guy.

Procrastination...Nation by Falcon6

This comic came in the revelation that Super Paper Mario does include the fabled Whacka. I didn't even realize it was until mentioned to me in the forum. So, after finding him again, and discussing with a forum-goer, I decided on this.

I know it's not really a part of the current storyline...but I had an excuse!

Drawing comics is harder than you think...when you get artist's block, you can't really get far into the comic. While I've had a few cases of it before, I never had it like this...the deadline was killing me, so I decided to make this one a filler comic and continue from there.

You are never allowed to criticize big-name comics for not updating consistently in front of me again.=P

The next story comic will be Friday...ever since I got done with 280, I got a few more sketches in and I think I'll be able to finish it up by Wednesday, which gives me ample time to start on next Monday's.

So, hopefully, there won't be many other delays in this storyline. Keep your fingers crossed!=D

Edit: Whacka is an animal in the Paper Mario series. They are usually carefree and enjoy nice days. When you hit it on the head, however, it creates a special health item called a Whacka Bump. These healthy things restore a large amount of HP to Mario. These bumps also sell quite high in the shops.
However, how one can easily hurt the cute, little guy is beyond me. I always slightly hate myself when I whack it on the head. The poor guy...

The end of the Turn-based by Falcon6

Well, I hope you're enjoying my little jump into drawn comics. I know I have a long way to go, but I hope you'll bear with me. I wish to make the same "hilarity" that came with the comics before to this new format.

Though I gotta say, I'm definitely respecting VG Cats more...this stuff is HARD when you have a life.>_>

Ever since I got Final Fantasy XII, I noticed a trend. When you look at Tales of Symphonia, you don't see a regular RPG. The battle system was completely different compared to Final Fantasy. Even before that was Tales of Phantasia.

And now, we have Super Paper Mario. A game that, in some respects, is an RPG, but not as much as it is a platformer. The games bring about a different view of many things, including Paper Mario and Mario as a franchise. He's extremely flexible when it comes to these different games.
I mean, he made a game about paper awesome, so you gotta respect that.

But ever since Final Fantasy XII, I have noticed a decline of turn-based battles in the big RPGs. Playing FF XII made it really hard to play Dragon Quest VIII for me, making me almost willing to sell it. Why is this? Could the turn-based genre of RPGs become second-tier compared to these new action RPGs?

Already, it's been confirmed that Final Fantasy XIII is going to have the same battle systems as FF X and FF XII. Playing XII made Final Fantasy III seem a little lackluster.

Is this RPG genre dying with the next generation? Does this mean the Action RPGs like Final Fantasy XII and somewhat-Super Paper Mario becoming the newest leader in RPGs?

I honestly haven't a clue, but I will tell you this. I really do hope that they consider breaking Paper Mario the RPG from Paper Mario the platformer. I really wouldn't mind another Super Paper Mario...maybe one dedicated to recreating a LOT of levels from the old days with this power of perspective. However, Paper Mario is still one of my all-time favorite RPG series of all time. The colorful atmosphere is still a welcome change to the bleak darkness of other RPGs.

I also hope the turn-based RPG doesn't truly die. Then again, I haven't really been on the market for new RPGS to date, so I don't know of many new RPGs coming out soon. Feel free to argue points at the forum if you so wish.

Origami Week: Catch you on the Flipside by Falcon6

Flipper

Just what is Flipside? After Mario was attacked, Tippi transported him to this town. Here, you find the quaint feeling of an RPG town.

It has an Inn, a Card Shop [I'll explain that in a bit], and a lot of NPCs. Who doesn't love the NPCs???

At the tip-top of the town is Flipside Tower. It's here that you can find the entrances into each world. However, in order to open the world, you have to place a Pure Heart into a Heart Pillar. Heart Pillars are scattered about the town and, like what you'd expect, you would find them using the powers gained from the previous level you were in.

The town is more like Toad Town from the original Paper Mario than Rogueport from The Thousand-Year Door. However, there are elements of both towns mixed in. The underground of Flipside is as puzzling as Rogueport's and includes a very special place.

Trial and Error

Deep within Flipside is the fabled Pit of 100 Trials. When people hear that phrase, the memory of fighting through blood and teeth and tears to get to Bonetail in The Thousand-Year Door returns to their mind. A memory of repeated loss and triumphant victory.

Well, the Pit returns in Super Paper Mario. You don't battle like in TTYD, of course...no, you have to defeat every enemy until you find the one holding the key to the next door. Then, you continue. Every 10 rooms, you get an item...and I could only imagine what lies beyond the 30 I completed.

The difficulty increases as you go further in. More difficult enemies to defeat.

Cardcaptors

During your travels through the game, you might come across some cards. These are actually rather neat. If you find a card for a Goomba, you automatically do double-damage to it.

These cards can be found in the ground...or you can do it yourself! You can find Catch Cards, which can be used on any enemy to transform them into a card. It's a good thing to use when you're going into a new world and might need to face a lot of these new enemies.

And the cards can obviously be useful when facing off against enemies in the Pit of 100 Trials, as well.

You can also sell them to the Card Shop in Flipside in order to get a little bit more income.

Chapters 4-5

Chapter 4: Mario goes into space and soon finds an alien that allows him to become a regular Galaga.
Chapter 5: Mario meets a prehistoric world under siege by flowers.

The Final Impression

This is the final impression I can give. Mostly because I wanna draw and try to get this comic done for the Monday update. Like I said before, no Friday update this week. Sorry for the inconvenience...but I am hoping to make Monday's comic as good as I can make it.

My final review of the game will be sometime this weekend. Be sure to check it out here and on the Sage Reviews board later on.

Art is Awesome

Let's face it: the art direction for this game is perhaps one of the coolest I've seen.

Paper Mario is so simple...yet so invoking. I personally wouldn't mind seeing this version of Mario being used for art promotions to replace his polygonal self. He just seems like the perfect new Mario for the 21st century...to replace his old cartoony self from the original games.

Of course, Paper Mario will always be an RPG in some aspect...so to say he should get the cover art each time is a little over-the-top. I'm just a big fan of it.

Another cool thing about the art direction is the level design itself. Each new chapter opens with an outline, which is then filled with color and effects. It's really kinda cool to see it happen each time.

As an aspiring artist, I enjoyed the direction they took with the art. It makes the environment much more than a simple 3D game...it's like a true world made of paper.

Paper v. Plastic

I won't get into details on it...as I'm sure you guys want this sort of thing to be revealed on your own.

But I'll just say...remember how Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door had all these paper elements?

That was merely a novice stage. Super Paper Mario is a paper game at its peak. And it'll only get better as the series goes on, which I'm sure it will.

Dimensional Oddities

I'm sure everyone knows about the dimension swapping. You can't get anywhere in 2D, so you switch to 3D and see an entrance in the wall not visible before and all that. I've seen it first-hand and I gotta say, I enjoy the feature. A row of 5 coins could, when switched to 3D, be 30 coins in a row. The perspective shows you what it really is.

There are small glimpses into past Mario games in terms of level design. Heck, the water stage here has a remixed song of the Super Mario Bros. 3 Water World song, which I enjoyed.

And to see these worlds in 3D brings joy to this classic gamer's heart.

Controlling a Princess and a Koopa King

Since I started playing, I've played as Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser, and a 4th character. They all have their special abilities.

Good news for those people who didn't enjoy Princess Peach's levels in the RPGs. Princess Peach can fight! Her ability is using her parasol to hover over great distances, getting to places that even Mario's jump can't get to. She can also guard from some attacks. No emotional attacks, though.

And excellent news for those who really enjoyed Bowser's rampages in TTYD. He's back and as sweet as ever. He had to be coaxed into helping by Peach, but he's ready to defeat all in his way. He's huge, so his jump power is 2x as powerful as Mario's and he can use fire to blast through blocks, walls, and anything that's flammable.

This 4th character I can't really talk about much. Mostly because you only played as this character for about...a minute or two. Until this person was captured by Count Bleck's secretary, Nastasia. Whether or not this person is playable later on or even if the person's going to be alright, I cannot tell.

All I can really say is...you'll enjoy it all.

The First 3 Chapters

I won't reveal anything much about it...I'll just summarize.

Chapter 1: Mario needs to gain dimensional powers in order to see things clearly.
Chapter 2: Mario and Peach get stuck in a mansion.
Chapter 3: Mario and Peach appear in a very pixelated world.

My personal fav at the moment is Chapter 3. The big boss in this chapter is just...hilarious to watch.

Tomorrow

Mario in Space?! Apparently so. Also, what about this main town, Flipside? I'll tell you more about this all tomorrow. Until then...uhm...stay thin!

Origami Week: Kingdom HEAAARTS!!1 by Falcon6

Me speak-a deh English?

This isn't really a big part of the game itself, but one thing I have noticed is that my box and a lot of the stuff inside was filled with different languages.

So, if you are beginning to speak English, you're set to not worry too much about understanding the manual. Heck, even the back cover of the game has three different languages.

So, I found that to be rather interesting.

Luigi to the Rescue!

The game begins with an excerpt from a storybook, like the two Paper Mario games before it. It gives a little backstory to the Dark Prognosticus, a tome telling of a dimensional rift that can only be opened with the union of a pure princess and a monster king. Obviously, these two descriptions sound familiar.

The scene opens with Princess Peach waking up in a wedding outfit. Above her floated a creature called Count Bleck [who feels the need to narrate for himself.] and his secretary, Nastasia. She then looks over and sees the person she's about to marry: Bowser! Behind him are his loyal subjects, cheering him on.

Bowser is still his goofy and awesome self, so that's awesome to me. I always enjoyed his character in the Paper Mario games.

Anyway, it turns out Count Bleck is wanting to cause the dimensional rift to open. So, with Nastasia's help, he hypnotizes Peach to say "I do", causing the rift to open. Out came a dark heart called the Chaos Heart.

As it turns out, in the audience, Luigi was passed out. He wakes up and notices how all of Bowser's minions were around him. He looks up and sees that Bowser was up there with a passed-out Peach and decided to jump to the rescue. He's not as much of a fraidy-cat as I thought, then. Good for him. Guess that little Waffle adventure gave him a little more courage.

Anyway, Luigi proceeds to jump onto the Chaos Heart. That only made Count Bleck angry and made everyone disappear.

And then, the title screen! Start up a new game!

Mario's a-too weak!!

The actual game opens up before the beginning story ever occurred. Like usual, Mario and Luigi were just hanging in their house when they decided to go to the castle to see the Princess. While walking, Toad comes up and informs him that the Princess was kidnapped! This only brought Mario and Luigi to one conclusion and headed off to Bowser's castle.

Unbeknown to them, Bowser was actually just planning to attack that day when they arrived. That was when Count Bleck came into the scene. Mario tried to attack, but was blocked, then attacked so hard that he passed out. When Bowser started to harass Bleck for kidnapping Peach, Bleck took the Koopa King and all of his minions [including Luigi] away.

Leaving poor Mario to die.

It was then that a little Pixl came into the room. For those who don't know, a Pixl is...some...small thing that helps...people.
Look, I don't really know WHAT they are. I hope they explain it a little as the game goes on.=P

The little Pixl's name is Tippi. It looks like a little butterfly that flies around Mario. Each Pixl has a special ability. Tippi's is the ability to tell you what's what in the world. The control to find out things like this is actually pretty neat. You simply point the Wii remote to the screen and a little cursor comes up. You just go to whatever you want, then click. Tippi will then give you some details on stuff.

Anyway, I digress. Tippi takes Mario to Flattown and meets up with Merlon. He tells Mario of the Dark Prognosticus and its light counterpart. As it turns out, Mario needs to get more powerful, so he has to go to all these different worlds in order to find Pure Hearts. He receives one from Merlon, which opens the door to the first world. His adventure begins yet again.

Tomorrow

I want to get through a bulk of this stuff tomorrow, so...I'll most likely talk about controls, dimensions, the art style, [my personal fav] and the first 3 chapters.

Bad news. No new comic on Friday. Preparations [I am planning a drawn comic...but I don't know if I'll be able to truly handle it] will most likely cause me to miss the deadline [let's face it...I suck at drawing good stuff right now.=P]. That, and another thing...which is...well..

GOOD NEWS, everyone.

I have received an advance copy of Super Paper Mario! So...instead of bragging about it, I decided to do an impressions thing...so I can at least look credible enough to get more free stuff. You get where I'm going with all of this, you see.

That and...well, I want to really tell you what I feel about the game. SO! I estimate I'll get done with the game through a run-through by Friday.

I give you...Origami Week!

I'm going to tell you up-front whether the game is a good buy or not. Which...well, I'm sure it is.

Estimated Time: 2 hours in

A forewarning to all who read this: I'll most likely try to keep it as spoil-free as I can...seeing as how I hated when I spoiled Twilight Princess for myself.=P So...I'll most likely go through names of places in the later chapters. As well as hidden moves. If it doesn't matter to you, then I'm glad it doesn't.=P

If it does, then I'll have a spoil-free review of the game by next week. I'll warn now, then warn repeatedly each time a post will have spoilers. If need be, I'll get Anhsanity over here to get a spoiler tag working here so there's no big problem.

But just a forewarning.=P

Also, for those not in the know...I'm a Sage over at the Nintendo community, NSider. There, I get the chance to get free games or games in advance. Obviously, an advanced copy of Super Paper Mario is a fine example of this. Other times I've gotten games like this was Magnetica, Donkey Kong Country 3, and two copies of Animal Crossing: Wild World [one of which I gave to the lovely Kifyra].

The sole purpose of this is to give a public opinion of the game out before the game is released on April 9th. So, I'll do my best to give you a basic run-down on all things Super Paper Mario.

And I'll do it carefully, as this is one of my favorite game series of all time and I want to give it the respect it deserves.

In any case, Highlander is about immortals who fight each other to gain a prize. The only way to kill an immortal is decapitating [beheading...cutting off] their heads.

So, seeing as how X3 is immortal...well, come on...he would have to assume it.

You can't really test it.

In other news, Phoenix Wright: JFA is awesome and it would be foolish to not get it if you own a DS.

Rantless from the Start by X3

Falcon's too busy making more stuff to account my stupid demise. I'm still wondering how he'd supposedly kill me off and I know it'll happen soon. He obviously wants to kill this webcomic off after 3 months of it being out there...so how else would he do this?

Of course, I could just be assuming based only on the supreme awesomeness that is Meta-Knight compared to my own brand of awesomeness. When the both of us attack each other, we will obviously have to go in an intense blaze of glory.

...'course, if he likes you guys, he might just keep me alive. Just don't humor him too much or he'll think he's his own little god in this world he's created.

Ah, but whatever...looks like another boring X Factor, I'm afraid. There's nothing really huge I can rant about.

Jack Thompson is back in the news, suing...basically the entire internet. Jackie-boy is obviously a household name now...if your house held a record for most names of incredibly-idiotic lawyers.
The story behind his latest "crusade against the games that steal candy from babies" is Take-two's recent suing of him, asking for retribution for the last 2 years of annoyances as well as to stop his crusade over GTA VI and Manhunt II, being harmful to children.
I'll admit...violent games can be incredibly harmful to children...
This is why I'm on the boat of people who asks that there is a law that prohibits parents from buying games for children, only allowing children and lone adults to purchase any game they wish.
Now, people out there might find this to be...idiotic. However, I have good reasoning behind it. If kids get more violent, then we can send them to Iraq. Just the rabid ones, not the meek ones [like myself.]. This way, they can play tag with grenades there instead of playing tag with guns here.
Jack Thompson, I agree with you...violent games must go. However, our children cannot revert to their original values and norms. So, we send them to a warzone and see what happens.
You get this idea to the president and see what he thinks. Oh, and if that sends me there...well, I have a ~~golfing~~ handicap, so I'll be safe.

Anyway, you probably noticed how much of a TWIST this is. Meta-Knight, Bowser, and the Shadow Sirens? Why on earth are they here, and why is Meta so interested in X3?

Maybe he's wanting to capture X3 in order to get Falcon to come to him...
Maybe he wants to follow X3 and find The Lizer Pad/Metroid Dome/Falcon Cave.

I started playing Kingdom Hearts II again today. After I get through a bit of it, I might get back to Final Fantasy XII and complete it.

Ctrl+Alt+Del Volume 3 - A Review Amongst PeopleS by Falcon6

Despite what your personal opinion on the comic is, you can't deny how incredibly popular it's become.

You gotta respect Tim Buckley's work. He's made a career off of his comic. Definitely a successful person to be able to draw for a living and do what he loves to do...and play games while doing it!

So, being the fan of CAD that I am, I read his newsposts and notice how his new book came out a week or so ago. I decided to be impulsive on the matter and buy Ctrl+Alt+Del Volume 3: Critical System Failure.

Softcover, because I didn't have the cash to buy hardcover.=P

Say what you will about buying a book that you can read for free on the Internet, there's something good about having access to it no matter where you are. It has that certain sense of nostalgia you can't really find all the time.

The remastered comic art and the comments below each one is a nice touch. I enjoy reading comments by Tim and I enjoy reading comments by the characters themselves even more.
And it has the smell of a new video game's instruction manual. <3

Some of the jokes are hit-and-miss, but I'm definitely not someone who can hate the comic because of that. I don't want the irony to kill me.

The only real complaint I have about the book itself is that it doesn't have the best ones. I guess I should look into getting Volume 1 and 2 if I want to get the cool arcs like Winter-Een-Mas, the Tim-owning-a-GCN, and the birth of Zeke.
However, it did have the Mac Panthers arc, so at least it had some good ones. It also had a special bonus arc that tells us how Scott and Ted met, so that was pretty cool.

Hopefully, when Volume 4 comes out, it\'ll have the Evil-Zeke arc. That\'s one of my favorite ones. ["Danger, Will Robertson!"]

So, would I recommend it? If you're a fan, yes! Definitely a good read, despite the comics not being the better ones. I'm definitely going to get the other two volumes soon enough.

Would I buy it through their store? I don't know...
The shipping and handling is definitely not fun. Lousy Canadian stores and their over-the-border air fee.
I had to pay $27.99 for a $19.99 book. I guess that's the curse of online shopping.
Plus, you gotta consider the fact that there's a "chance" of them being in bookstores without that shipping fee.
I mean, Penny Arcade had their book in bookstores.

So, the book itself is pretty nice, the comic itself is hilarious, and the extra stuff is cool, as well.

Now, if only Scott from VG Cats can give us his book, I'll be a very happy person.=P
I even have a cool teacher I can send that book to. x3:D

Well it's me again, and I've got some more site news today.

I've added a search page to the site, right here! It's taken awhile to make, but it's finally up and available on the site. With this page, you can do some searches on the site.

The first thing you can do is search the comic archives, letting you find the comics you want without having to go into the archives and trying to find it yourself. Don't complain to me if you're spelling something wrong or something!

Next is the search created by professionals (), the Google search. This can be used to search pretty much the entire site's text. Although there isn't a wealth of information, at least there's the option to search the forum...as if there wasn't a search page for the forum itself.

The next time you're feeling too lazy to type in "http://www.google.com/" you can just use our search page!

You may have noticed I made the Friday update on Wednesday. I didn't want to end up missing V-day, you see.=P

So, Valentine's Day. Named for St. Valentine, the priest who...

...you know what, even Wikipedia isn't helping me fully understand it. But I know what Valentine's Day is.
It's about love.

You may have remembered the tradition of handing out little Valentines to young lads and lassies back in grade school. You may also remember this day as a day all men lose their Christmas money.
And all women get into Victoria's Secret commercials.

At least, that's what I think it is. The tele' hasn't lied to me yet.
It may be a day where you don't do anything important. You simply stay with your loved ones [even family] and just hang out. You play with your friends [also love...platonic] and simply enjoy the day.
Or you sit in a car for 30 minutes trying to get the windows defrosted...
All excellent procedures to enjoying the day fully.

However, there is one thing that has been argued throughout the whole Valentine's Day thing. "If I'm going to show my love to my significant other, I don't need to do it on Valentine's Day alone!" That's perfectly understandable, and correct.
Love is something that is beautiful every single day. You shouldn't dedicate your love about love and your loved ones to one day of a year.
Luckily, people don't do that.

In the end, though, Valentine's Day does mean something to me.

Stepping in that right direction... by Falcon6

Another awesome thing about owning a website is that ability to give my own opinions on stuff and make a lot of long-winded essays.

So, on that note, let's talk about Sonic, shall we?

Back in the 90s, when the term "nerd" and "geek" came into play, the SNES came. Stemming from the original NES of the 80s, it had great power. However, there was soon a company that did what Ninten-don't; the Genesis.

Sega had everything there. A powerful console, with the first sign of great graphics [the SNES didn't come until later after it was released], and a good selection of games to boot. However, there was one driving force behind Sega's system, and it was soon to become their primary mascot.

Sonic the Hedgehog.

It was met with a critical acclaim for being one of the fastest games on the market at the time. It blew the SNES and Super Mario World away and made it clear that Nintendo had to watch themselves when competing against something so fast. After the success of the first one, Sonic 2 was released afterwards, bringing about a new character, Tails, and some of the most memorable levels in gaming history. After this, Sonic 3 was released, with the attachment Sonic and Knuckles soon after, which brought about even more detailed levels and a new character, Knuckles. It also brought about a storyline beyond just a simple "Dr. Robotnik robotizing animals to do his evil bidding." It brought about a little more insight into the world of Sonic, with the first appearance of the Master Emerald.

After that, Sonic had a good run on the other consoles, some good [Sonic Spinball] and some bad [Sonic R], but after Mario went into 3D with the Nintendo 64, it was clear that Sonic would soon have to go in with him. This brought Sonic Adventure to the Sega Dreamcast, showing yet again what Sega can do. The game brought about a few new characters and went deeper into the Chaos Emeralds' history with the Master Emerald and the sudden control Dr. Eggman [as he was called now] had over a creature called Chaos.
It was met with great response, despite the obvious flaws in it. After this success, they soon brought in Sonic Adventure 2, which brought in the first new hedgehog character since Amy...and was soon to be a major turning point in the series. The ultimate life form, Shadow the Hedgehog.

Sonic Adventure 2 was a different step, but it was definitely a step forward. Shadow's story was a harsh one of both betrayal, love, anger, and, in the end, acceptance. In the final story, he sacrificed himself in order to save the world. He soon disappeared in a flash of light and was presumed dead. This gave a sense of emotion to Sonic's realm and made a connection to a lot of fans, potentially bringing even more fans into the world of Sonic.

Unfortunately, it would appear Sonic would soon have a difficult time later on. Sega soon brought a new aspect to the game: Teams. You would have a team of characters that each have different aspects about them. For example, Sonic's would be speed, Tails would have flight, and Knuckles would have power. They used this model to create 4 other teams, and made a game over it called Sonic Heroes. While it was a good game, it failed to bring a sense of true enjoyment like Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 did. Mostly because it had you switching team members in order to overcome different obstacles, when all they wanted was speed. And the return of Shadow, while awesome to many, brought a sense of desperation in Sega's image. It showed fans that they can't let go of things that were awesome. Which is odd, considering that they were letting go of Sonic for a few moments when the game Shadow the Hedgehog came into play. This was a game that was not good, because it brought about elements to the Sonic world that just weren't wanted, from gunplay to vehicles and no way to play as Sonic. It was all Shadow and that wasn't good to a lot of people, apparently.

A thing that plagued all Sonic 3D games was a bad camera. It continually got stuck in places and kept you away from seeing things correctly. Each game had the camera getting progressively worse, which brought about the question; Why do players see the camera flaws, but Sega doesn't? It got even worse in Shadow, which proved that there was something about Sonic that caused bad cameras and such.
Which was apparent when Sonic the Hedgehog Next-gen came into play. This game gave another story and finally brought Sonic back to the playing field alone. Unfortunately, the reaction was not pleasing to see. People continually mentioned how much they hated it and how much the camera sucked, how much the loading times sucked, and how much they didn't enjoy the parts that didn't have Sonic in them. Sega told the public that Sonic was going to "bring Sonic back to its roots" and "being a reinvention of the series in 3D", but it just didn't work out apparently.

So, what was a poor Sega to do? After the failure of the 360 version, they only had one title to bounce back on for Sonic. This is the game that might potentially bring Sonic to a new realm for 3D games. And it's on the console with the oddest name.

Sonic and the Secret Rings, for the Nintendo Wii.

The game has Sonic continually running forward and you using the Wii remote to guide him, jump, and do tricks like speeding up and slowing down. The game is for Sonic and Sonic alone. No single player adventure with Knuckles, Tails, Shadow, or any other characters. It's all for Sonic.

I have high hopes for the title, which is coming out in about a week. If they succeed in Sonic and the Secret Rings, then they might finally have a formula that works for Sonic. A linear "track" of sorts wouldn't have messy camera problems, and it could even be a good thing for other characters to play on. The thing to remember for Sonic games is, they don't play it for Tails, they don't play it for Knuckles, and they don't play it for Shadow. They play it for Sonic. They play it for that sense of speed.
If they want to have a formula like the original Genesis games and just have them play on the same levels with different powers, that would be great. Same with stories. Look at Sonic 3 and Knuckles playing as Knuckles. Different goal, but same levels with different paths. That worked out perfectly.
If Sonic and the Secret Rings succeeds, which I hope it does, then it will revitalize Sonic and bring him into a world of greatness yet again. I'll definitely have to be buying this game quickly.

So, let's hope it does. I want that cool, blue hedgehog back to good impressions with the people out there.=P

2. I cannot take sprites out of the comics. If I used a sprite of yours and didn't credit you, and you want them removed, I can't do that. Mostly because I don't have the original files of all the comics still. All stored and I don't want to mess with finding them through my stuff.
3. If you see me use a sprite in the comic and not credit the individual here, don't spam my email because of it. The best thing you could do is tell the person who was the spriter and allow us to work it out.

I'm truly sorry I didn't start doing the whole asking for permission thing before...it could really have helped me through some mess.

In any case, I hope this clears up my dedication page. Last, but not least, is the About page. How I'll be able to condense F6 Comics for new visitors is going to be rather...interesting, at best.

Friendly Competition by Falcon6

Another awesome thing about my own website; I have the ability to talk about any news I find interesting.

First off, I've heard complaints to Nintendo about their friend code system. Heck, I'm one of the complainers. It's really inconvenient to do all this code-entering just to set up a game with someone we know.

See, the beauty of online gaming is to not know the people we play against. This means online gamers can cuss someone out and create many repulsive [maybe not as much for some people...and for those people, I worry] references to their opponent's mother.
Maybe I'm just not getting the whole issue as to why Nintendo did this service. It's impractical and just plain annoying at times. [no offense to them, but I just don't find typing codes through the Wii fun.]

I just hope there can be some sort of switch on this...especially since I heard about this article concerning a certain franchise I've just recently gotten into; Final Fantasy.

Apparently, Square Enix is very interested in putting Final Fantasy XI on the Nintendo Wii. However, they aren't very pleased with Nintendo's Friend Codes system and are hoping to strike a deal in order to bring their online Final Fantasy to the Wii.

So, that's something. If this deal comes through, we'll have a confirmed online game that isn't made by Nintendo...and that's sounding pretty cool.

Here's something else to see...Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

This Boston scare is really hard to take sides on. On one hand, you have ATHF, one of my favorite shows on [AS], doing a simple PR stunt in order to get attention for their new movie. It's a simple advert and should be treated as such: Not as a terror plot. On the other hand, you have the Boston police making sure there's nothing bad. In a post-9/11 world [as I think people call the world we live in now], you can't be too careful. That's perfectly understandable and I applaud them for making sure nothing happens to the Boston....ians.

However, I also hear that there were charges made against the people who made the advert. I don't think there should be any charges.
The devices in question were simple lights with a battery...used to promote the new movie in March [which I'll be seeing, I'm sure].
Sure, people thought it was a bomb threat and the Boston police had all rights to take precautions...but I seriously doubt their little stunt deserves a penalty any higher than a small fine for Public Nuisance. So I'm hopeful they will get out of this mess.

Now that I have a website, I have the ability to rant about anything I feel needs to be ranted about. If I wanted to tell you guys why I hate chili, I would be able to do it. It's rather neat to be away from the confines of normal Internet conversations.

Now, onto Microsoft Vista!

Apparently, the new version came out yesterday. And from what I've heard and seen, it's a rather shiny piece of OS. Bill Gates had quite a lot to do the last few days...

But hey, who wouldn't run when you have millions upon millions of dollars and so much stuff to do.

Oh, I forgot to mention...that I can post videos from Youtube here now whenever I want, as well...

In any case...Vista seems to be a big deal. What with the shinies and the Halo 2 and whatnot.

But I can tell you one person who isn't getting it...

You know why? He don't need no stupid Microsoft product. He got Apples, baby.

As for me? Well, I'll have to try it out one day, being the aspiring nerd of tomorrow that I am.

Right now? No, not with my crappy computer. Besides, I am considering a Macbook for graduation nonetheless.

However, this brings about an interesting question...Macbooks vs. Notebooks with Windows Vista built-in for graduation. I'll be getting money to use for college and I'm sure I wouldn't mind a laptop computer.

While I have been hoping to get an Apple laptop for a while, it's hard to not consider a Dell laptop with Vista built-in. Or a notebook of any computer brand, for that matter.

Except Gateway. Gateway sucks.

So, I have to consider this now. Get a Macbook or get a Laptop with Vista. Rather hard choice to make.

Why don't you guys consult me on the matter...give me help in deciding.

In case you haven't figured it out, I'm the guy who made the site. This probably explains why I'm an admin on the forums. You see Falcon6 is unable to make this announcement himself because he is either incapacitated or lazy. You can figure out which. And I am too cool to have you looking at my face.

Anyways, we've got a new page right here called the "Media" page. Now this page has got some nice banners here that help you link to us. What you've got to do is to download the image and upload it to another image hosting site because we don't want you hot linking our images. Then, you can put this on your sig in various forums or whatever along with a link back to this site. This helps us out to get more readers! The more people we can get here, the happier you all will be, so you had better do it! >=O

In the future, we're planning to roll out additional items here including wallpapers. We'll be sure to announce it! We've got three banners and 6 micro-link images. Help out the Falcon6.net community and spread the word to all your friends.

3 is Just a Small Age, Right?! by Falcon6

So, apparently, my third year anniversary of the Internet is tomorrow.

January 24th, 2004. That was when it all began.

...granted, I've been on the Internet longer, but my pseudonyme, Falcon6. The name that began the Revolution of the Internet was born three years from tomorrow.

We have come full circle. Before, I was but the learner. Now, I am the master.

Now that I'm 3, it's high time I see about what should be done now. I would have to bring this new world I've created to brand-new heights. I've created a lot of stuff during my first year. I was never able to reveal them in forms other than written [typed, I know] form. Just X3, X6, and X7 have been pulled out from my mind and into a different form.

Ever since the first year, I have tried long and hard to find a good way to create other things...and ever since, I think I've gotten to do a lot more. I'm glad I started creating comics during this time. It not only gave me a reason to work on art, but it also allowed me to bring my world to the light of the people.

So, I want to thank everyone I've met over the three years...some of them I don't want to thank, but if not for them, I doubt I'd be the way I am today if not for you and your crazy antics. So, from me to you...thanks.

I hope you and I can enjoy the next few years...because chances are, I will have no reason to ever leave the Interweb.=P

Manga-Man by Falcon6

Ah, so the big site release "storm" of sorts is done. The ads are up, the comic is updating, the forum already has two power mongers, [myself included] and the word is out on it.

So, I would really appreciate it if, if you enjoyed the comic so far, you spread the word. Always great to find free publicity.

...still, it's too bad I kept the comic forum-related so long...I'm satisfied with the ones that don't concentrate around forum ideas now. And I assure you, NSider-related topics will most-likely not be appearing as often as they used to. I used the comic as a forum to talk about the forum, but now that the forum is not in the equation, I don't need to use this comic as a forum to talk about a forum.

I have a forum that can talk about a forum. I find that better.

Anyway, as you've noticed, I've actually drawn some comics. Not enough to actually trust myself with making a storyline using drawings only, of course, but I'm still happy with how much progress I've actually done compared to my older work. [see #99...actually, don't, if you could. Bleh]

So, to further my self-teaching, I decided to go into a genre I have not thought about for a while: Manga. I picked up The Complete Idiot's Guide to Drawing Manga.

Now, I'm not saying I'm an idiot, no. What I am saying is, I'm an idiot when it comes to drawing manga. Because I've never done it.
If you were to look up my name in Wikipedia, you would not find anything. This is because I haven't made a good drawing. I daresay, it's time I get onto Wikipedia, don't you think? So, it's time to get better in drawing manga.

See, I've thought of this for a while.

So, hopefully, I'll get better with drawing...not only in manga areas, but in all areas. I want to draw Link, Sonic, Mario...all of them as well as I can...this is my personal goal of 2007. Wish me luck.=P

You've probably met me in some other random forum I go to on the Interwebs. So introductions aren't really necessary.
Of course, there are probably also people I don't even know here...so I must ask them to take off their shoes before they walk through my website.

As said before, my name is Falcon6. Short for Falcon T. 6, pretty much. I am a superhero.

My superpowers are pretty basic stuff...enhanced strength, enhanced speed, powerful jump...the usual stuff. I won't get much into detail with how I got these powers quite yet. But trust me, the truth will return soon enough.

However, I seem to have hit a snag in my last contract. Apparently, you can't own a website when you're the hero of a forum. So, I decided to expand my horizons.

...by "expand", of course, I mean "got fired." No biggie. I mostly freelance now.
Just like what a hero really should do. Pretty good job, if you ask me.

I mean, sure, I don't get paid, but at least I can still stay in my usual job position.

Anyway...as for my life in general...I am also a guardian for the X spirits.

Oh, but wait, you might ask "What are X Spirits?" Well, don't interrupt me, hypothetical you, and I might answer quicker.

X spirits are beings who, 2003 years ago, were sealed in an ancient crystal and cursed to stay there until the crystal is breathed in with living blood. 3 years ago, a wizard of sorts attacked me and shot the X Crystal straight into my heart.

This caused a chain reaction that, in essence, would soon bring out beings with special abilities.

None are more important in this equation than X3. X3 is my sideki-

I am X3. I am the main character in this story about the life and times of a heroic wannabe.

Let me tell you, Falcon hasn't had a real supervillain in months...and the last guy was a crazy dude who blew his clothes up.
I tell ya, he's not really doing too well.

But in the end, it is me whom you would truly care about.=D Once you see me out and about in the comics, you'll be sure to love me...just like everyone else I've met in the-agh!
